Now that's funny

Don't be afraid to ask for help a big mess up could be very costly so the more research and if you get the better.
-
thanks for the help15mm biceps and forearms, 20mm shins and thighs.
-
What is the size for the cover strips?

already did got the tracking number yesterdayNo, contact TG and let him know you have two left (or right) shins, hes working on sending everyone the correct one.

I took pics of my shins and emailed them and yep I have 2 right shinsRon, thanks. When I first started researching the AM armor, I was looking forward to the molding strips to make the initial trimming easier. Without them, it makes it a little more complicated, but I think I'm up to the challenge. Thanks for the help you've offered so far. The breakdown you posted yesterday about your forearm build (on someone else's thread, Rick's or Ryan's I think) helped answer some questions. So definitely continue to offer advice when you can. I know all the AM newbies appreciate it.
William, you'll want to check soon and if you've got the two left shins, let MightyTank know (include detailed pictures) so he can get you on the list for a new shin if needed.
Thanks again Nick for helping out. If I make the wrist opening so that it's just big enough without the gloves on, how do I get the gloves on when trooping? The rubber gloves I've got extend almost to my elbows and are fairly thick rubber. The difference from what I can tell in what I'd be removing with our without the gloves is about a 10 mm swing in circumference.
Thanks Steve! It's been a lot of fun so far, glad you're enjoying my documenting of the process.

I haven't really looked at my shins since I've been working on my bucket need to check this weekend when I have timeI see your dilemma, it sure looks like you have 2 left legs. All 4 parts of the shins I have, are different. Yours look identical.
Let me see what I can find out.

I was given good advice from someone in my local garrison take your time and don't rush it a mistake can be expensive.Unfortunately I don't have time to work on fine details such as painting etc right now. I go back to college in about 12 days so I'm trying to get all of the major components sized and assembled first while I have the tools and space. I can worry about the rest at school.

I've been thinking of doing that and it might make it a little sturdier. I haven't been able to work on much been busy still need to get some acetone so I can make the paste to fix my extra holesRandom thought, could we double up the provided lens roll to make it harder to see in?
-
Ha ha it just seems to flimsy
-
That stuff is definitely sturdier than what we have.
-
I was thinking of trying to glue a small piece of ABS and see how that looks.
-
What's a good way to attach the lenses and the frown mesh?
-
sounds like a star wars marathon is in need to find out:)ABS paste should work out. If that fails I wonder if you could use this photo to try and sway the opinions of the powers that be. I see several buckets that have 5 holes on a side. No idea if they made it to the screen but who knows?
-
yeah I'm gonna try that as soon as I have some extra abs. Let me know how it turns outOk so the spackle failed, but i am trying the abs paste now. this seems it will work much better.

Is there a way to fill in the teeth if you cut an extra hole?
-
do you use flat black?Nice job so far....if I may make a recommendation if you haven't already seen it in other builds...it's purely preference but painting the inside of your helmet black. It will helmet keep sun light from shining through and if kids try to look up, they'll see darkness...
-
Looking good! The only thing that caught my attention was the number of teeth. You should only have 4 holes per side assuming you are doing a stunt trooper.
I just noticed that I cut one extra hole woops. Good thing I have a backup bucket being built just in case I have issues with this one. I'm really enjoying the build so far.

Hey William,
Did your face plate dimples allign with the back plate dimples when you added the screws?
Nope I had to fiddle with it to get it to line up so I could drill the holes on the sides. How's yours coming along?

It's been a while since I've been active on here. On Friday January 9th at 1:42 am my daughter came into the world. Her name is Meredith she was 4 lbs 11 oz and was 18 Inch. She came early so she's in the nicu but she's doing good hopefully she can go home. And yes I'm still working on my TK but might be a while longer till I complete it but for good reasons.
