a bit about myself...Minnesota born and bred, Marine Corps for 12 years. I purchased a FX kit in the late 90's, I know, get rid of it, it's a piece of crap, but I have a real soft spot for it! Although I do want to purchase a new Bucket, I have reached out to a few of the makers, and hope to hear something soon. Looking over the forums, wow what a great place to be! I do have to make some serious mods to my Armour, but hope to make it 501st approved, with a new bucket of course, very soon. I am 5'8", 200, and really have come to figure out that parts of the FX were made with my legs in mind! so far this week, ordered new canvas belt, new lens for the FX Bucket, fans, and Mic kit, yea, it has been an expensive week..and it is only Wednesday! One question I have is that I have a fairly large melon, so the FX Bucket fit great, looked like crap, but fit great......so what is the best Bucket for a guy with a big head?

Yellowing armour
in Hard Armor (General Discussion)

Ok, just took my FX armor out of storage, it has always been kept in a Rubbermaid tote with a lid, it yellowed! Helmet sits on my dresser, has never yellowed. Anyway, I started with novus, and it worked ok, switched to Meguiar's and wow, back to white!
