  1. I'll second everything everyone already said... I love my AP armor! It took me about 2 months to build mine with working on it after work and weekends. I used both dremel and tin snips to trim mine. E6000 works great although I had to use ca glue on the shims that go on the shins because of the curve. But that was before I learned about heating the abs shims with a heat gun to put a curve in them.

As Steve mentioned, you'll probably have gap between the kidney and ab plates but it's easy to fill that in with some time and patience...there's a great how to on making paste for doing that.

You'll find quick and awesome help here with anything you run into. Good luck!

  2. I recently finished my scout trooper suit.  Just a couple nips and tucks and I will be submitting for approval.  With the scout trooper the armor pieces were super easy. The soft parts on the other hand were the difficult ones to make sure were screen accurate (mostly the boots and gloves).

Stormtrooper seems to be the exact opposite.

A few months ago I was close to purchasing an ATA kit but with my TB build going I shied away from taking on that amount of work.

Now that TB is basically done I'm back to focusing on my TK build.

I live in the US so some vendors are out for me given they wont ship here.

I think I've narrowed it down to RS and AP.

For me cost isn't the issue its purely about size.

    I'm 5'9 and 160-170lbs.

Anyone in my size range have good or bad luck with these two suits?

...also given my size I don't think I can go with eFX helmet...I don't want to be known as TK-Bobblehead.

    P.S.

I'm not opposed to light/moderate modification (the ATA kit just seemed like more of a project than I would have time for given work, life, etc..lol)
