    Hi there

    Almost finished my TKC all armour complete and painted and battle scuffed, helmet may be a issue with some folks and my boots need changing for rounded toes, but it's turned out pretty good anything that needs changing I will do over time...     Hi there, I have to agree with what was said up the top of the page about different lighting giving different variants of blue.

    I myself have gone for a spray paint (rattle can) Vauxhall regatta blue,and is the nearest I have found to the blue in other photos and the game footage.

    I would upload some photos but currently on iPhone and not sure how and if its possible to upload.

    Also what techniques have people been using for the dirt scuff look.. Matt or gloss.. Hand painted or airbrush.. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

  9. Help with commander stormtrooper blue detailing

    I'm about to start paintwork on a TKC but before I do is there a specific measurement (width) of the blue stripes on the chest and back plate?

    I would be gutted to paint on judgment of the eye and find out its not quite thick enough or too thick any help is great fully appreciated.. I have had a look and can find the patterns but no set measurements :S..

    Thanks for the great welcome Charles, Wes, Glen and Adam ..

    I have ordered E6000 the DIY stores around here seem to be lacking the items I need (typical lol). Looking forward to completing my build hoping to go with the commander stormtrooper when finished.

    I'm from the UK, and have spoke to some of the 501st in this area, helpful bunch of guys.

    When I finish my build I am going to submit to 501st and hopefully can start trooping with the guys officially, I hung around with some of them at a small convention in Hull England.. The amount of photos was unbelievable and the feeling was epic.. my previous armour was a home made TKC which I made for comic con and the science and movie fair earlier this year.

    Now I have a decent set of armour but was having glue issues, so thanks again for the input and welcoming me on board.

    Hi there,

    I am in the process of building up a new armour set and was wondering what is the best glue to use.

    After asking numerous members of staff at the local DIY store for a glue strong enough to hold the suit together I was no wiser than when I went in.

    This is my second build but my first was a homemade commander stormtrooper, looked ok I guess but after meeting some of the 501st at comic con and again a couple months after (who were more than happy to share tips and advice ) I realised I need a decent accurate TK.

    So I have it about to build, but don't want to be buying a poor glue..

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
