    I've decided to go ahead and start to gather/buy/build a trooper costume to apply to join the 501st  and help out in my area.

    I have a question though, and I may have missed if this was answered somewhere...been reading so much my head is spinning ;) , but are the costumes limited to whats set on the 501st site costume reference guidlines?

    I.E. if I was interested in building a more obscure Trooper like the following, would that be a waste of my time, money and effort or does it have a chance of being approved?

    I had originally intended to start with a Clone Trooper just due to the sheer variety of armor styles but my heart belongs to the original films so I figured I'd find something in the middle.
