  1. Ive read myself redeyed the last couple of days, and Ive figured out the following:

    Im 99% sure I want an ABS-kit.

Since my height is 5'3 I need to trim it quite a bit. 140lbs, but going down (as I said before), so width-wise all kits should suit me, i think.

I want to go Centurion if I can manage, and the AM and FX are no options.

Right now Im torn between theese providers: AP, ATA and RS Prop Masters. If anyone has any experience with these being fitted to short people, I would love to know. Ive read 3 buldingthreads here that was really helpful, among them the cutest Sandtrooper Ive ever seen! Diane, I think?

  2. Hi everybody! After long time thinking and not doing anything about it, ive finally joined the Nordic Garrison. Ive used the last couple of days ordering different tools and reading building threads til I go cross-eyed. Im 5'3 and currently 140lb - going downwards on that scale. I was so lucky as to get to try on both a TK and a TB, and although the TB is more comfortable, the TK is the right choice for me. I love the sandtroopers (short is TD, right?), and understand that if I build myself an ANH Hero suit that I will be able to convert this to a sandtrooper later on if I want to?

I was really lucky to get hold of TKboots in size 6, luckily they had that in storage.

Currently both myself and my husband are students, so buying a kit at this time is not an option.(but if there is a waiting list I need to get on without deposit I would like to know). But so far Ive ordered the boots, magnets and Lexan scissors. Im reading up on what "rivet" means, and all the different acronyms and materials. Im used to working with yarn and fabric, so making a TK is a good way to learn new skills (and get an awsome outfit!)

Other information: 31 years old, married, and have a son age 6 and a daughter age 15 months. My son loves Star Wars and think I will be the coolest mom in the neighbourhood ;)

I too (as the other, short women starting trooping) are looking for advises on which kit and modeling tips to do. Ive read and looked at the pictures in the spesific thread concerning Olgas(?) armor, and will of course read more. A lot to take in!
