  1. Hey, just came across this thread. I have a buddy if mine who just offered to paint my armor for me. What is the specific code for white? He is very reputable in the industry and has offered since the standard can yellow over time due to natural weathering. I kind of want to but not sure if its needed. What benefits could come from it?

  2. Kicking the wife out of bed.....bad idea. Good luck with your builds and have fun! On a side note, I'm glad to see what a complete doopydoos kit looks like in the box.

Yea, even as a joke she chuckled and then gave the evil eye haha. Yea, the doopydoo's kit doesn't look as scary as I thought. On a side note with the armor build.....when measuring, what exactly am I measuring? For example, when doing the thighs, am I looking at the circumference of my thigh or something with the armor?

  3. Well, I first have to say, what an honor!!! Everyone here has been not only friendly but extremely helpful with tips and advice. So thank you all. But now to the good stuff....

The best way to end a week of work beside a cold brew is walking into your house with a big box waiting to be opened!! Not only did my AP armor arrive, but my doopie blaster and trooperbay stuff as well.

I look forward to this build and at the moment so does my wife. As she has been kicked out of the bed for the duration of this build ðŸ˜.

  4. I'm leaning very heavily towards one of these as well. Quick question? Has anyone tried spraying a completed blaster down with plast-dip before painting? Seems like it would seal it, protect it a little from accidental droppage and also match the finish fairly close.

Any thought or ideas on this?

I had the same idea on plasti-dip. Was hoping I could find something out but no luck for me.

  5.

Sorry for the late reply, I think I have my website on my profile. I'm in East Atlanta, message me if you're interested in something. I'm also attending a few cons this year, so I'll be in cities around the Eastern U.S. and Germany, of course for Celebration! :)

No need to be sorry. We all have lives here lol. I will check it out here soon. Wow, you are going to go to that one! I'm jealous lol.

  6. Wow!!! Echo, you are pure awesomeness right now lol. Yes, I have been trying to figure out which style I want to do. It started out as ROTJ but after research, I have stepped back and decided AP was what met my needs. So now I'm looking to do ANH hero centurion level.

Thanks for the tag info. I'll be researching that way more often now when I need better results. Being this is my first build, I would die if I messed up! So yes, looking at other ANH builds will really help me out as well.

  7. Hey Echo,

Hey, I too am new as you see lol. But thanks for the little tidbits of info. I agree with you on the personal goals of an armor build and I am the person who would like the more "screen accurate" look. Being I would like to go Centurion, I guess I will have to do more digging on the rivets and snaps for the suit and find some more written details as well. Again, thank you for your input and I will def be putting it to use here in the next few days while still doing my research. Im just very excited to start this and wasnt sure if I have missed anything or over looked it. Have a great New Year and good luck with your build as well fell trooper.

  8. Hey everyone, the time has come for me to contact my future Armor builder and let them know that I am wanting to buy from them. But before I do, I have a few questions for you all that I am curious about. I just dont know if I have over looked them and what not.

    Questions:

1- Is it better to paint the helmet or use decals?

2- How do I know where to apply rivets and snaps? Also, how many do I need?

3- How do I get the armor to hold its self inplace on my legs an arms?

4- If Doopydoo's is out of stock on E-11 blaster kits, where else can I look?

5- While building it, should I just go ahead an set myself up for EIB?

Again, thank you for reading and helping me out. I am sorry if these are things that I just havent found yet. Hope everyone has a good New Years night!!!!

  9. Welcome to the Empire Scott. There are NO newbie questions only ways to get advise. Trust me I asked a TON of questions at first :)

Thanks TieRacer, glad to know there is no newbie questions....I always feel that way when I join a forum to start a new challenge in life. Thank you all for making me feel welcomed here and on the GA Garrison forum as well.

  10. As Im searching around on the forums, I keep seeing RT-MOD pop up here an there. I checked out the website and I am blown away!! You give great pics from every angle and your shop setup is amazing. I look forward to the day I am able to purchase from you and get this build going. Thanks for what you do and when is the best time to Contact you?

Also, I saw that you make for larger frames....What would be considered by you a larger frame? I'm 5'9 at 195lbs. ( just curious )

  11. Lol, thanks Ingrid. Yea, Im not new to how a forum works but I also dont want to sound like a complete noobi here when asking questions lol. So that is why I creeped for about 2 weeks. Yes, if she gets on board, Im sure she would like to have hers done first. Im just glad people here are very friendly. Again, any suggestions on which routes to take, I will glad take.

  12. Hi everyone, my name is Scott and I live in the Cumming, GA area ( I know, naughty name for a city ). I've been creeping around the forum getting certain topics saved to my computer for future references. Seeing how friendly basically everyone is makes me feel comfy about letting people know that I have never done this part of my Star Wars inside nerd lol ( but I'm loving it! ).

I actually looked into doing this a few years ago but some unfortunate things happened. But I'm back up an running an looking to a ROTJ EIB to centurion armor. I have a very OCD side of me an this will be it lol. I like to make things look top notch an perfect ( military side of me ).

I will def be searching and asking for suggestions on what works best with my certain route. Having my wife's ok for this will def help since I want to go all out basically. She said she might even consider building one as well. She too is a Star Wars fan :).

Thanks for your time and I can't wait to start comparing armor builds and picking the one I want!!!
