I'm reading the forums now re: shimming my thighs. I'm a marathon runner that cross-trains on a bike, and I'm definitely going to have to shim in the rear as space is pretty dear over the bodysuit.

Still doing lots of reading, watching tutorials, etc. I have emailed a few armor makers recommended by this site to get pricing, options, and wait list info. This is an investment of time and money, so I want to make sure I do it right the first time! This site has been an excellent resource so far.

Hi all-

 

My name is Shaun, I live near Canton, Ohio. I'm a lifelong fan of the films, and have always been intrigued by stormtroopers. I remember seeing a full-sized display model in Sharper Image stores and catalogs in the early 90's, and thought how cool it would be to have one of those when I get older.

 

More recently, I found you can actually not just display, but wear stormtrooper armor. Thankfully, I found this site and avoided the trap of buying an Amazon or eBay rig.

 

I've spent the past few days perusing the wealth of info in these forums. Not sure when I'll purchase armor, but I'm sure I'll have a pretty good guide with this site when I do.

 

I'm 6'0 and about 190 lbs. Still familiarizing myself with the various "brands" and types of armor. Any input or experience is greatly appreciated, I'm sure I'll have questions!
