  1. What does "AOE" 4life mean? Just curious....

Long story short, AOS stands for Ace of Spades, a song by Motörhead. My favorite song and band. :D

As for bikerscout.net, I signed up there yesterday and was just verified on the forums.

I was thinking AM armor, just a couple months wait. Anyone have an opinion on them?

  2. Thanks for explaining that to me, guys. I guess when you think about it, it's only $200 more for a good set. Still, the waiting list... I know a lot of people prefer ATA, but I waited 7-8 months for my turn. What other makers would you suggest that have a much shorter wait? I'd also love to do a scout build if anyone knows a good maker for that armor too.

  3. I agree entirely. Although I've researched quite a bit, I'm still very new to this. Can anyone tell me why recasts are a no no? I mean, like I said, I'm new to this, but wouldn't it be better to have a recast of a screen worn suit rather than a fan sculpt? Considering the fact that we want to be as screen accurate as possible.

  4. I just truly hate being on a waiting list when I'll be paying such a large amount. And I'm not turning my nose down at charity, sir. In fact, that is the reason I want to do this. After watching videos of trooping in children's hospitals and seeing their faces, it brings a tear to my eye. I'm just saying that I feel armor should not be so expensive because it is being used for charity. Shouldn't we want more people to troop? Shouldn't we want to bring more smiles to those kids faces? Why not make it a little more accessible? With more armor being sold at lower prices, we could have more people in more areas, and visit even more hospitals and charity events.

  5. I joined a year or two ago and was on a waiting list for a set of ATA armor, but about a week before ATAworks emailed me saying my armor was next, I was laid off from my job. Terrible timing. With that being said, I was unable at the time to purchase the armor. Fast forward to now, I'm back and looking for a decently priced set of armor. $500 is not decently priced in my opinion, seeing as how I would be doing charity work in it. So my question is, where can I find a set of armor for around $300? I've seen a couple on eBay (I know no one here likes eBay armor) but that's it. Im even selling off my vintage Star Wars collection to fund this. So please, if anyone can point me towards a set at that price, I would be more than grateful.
