I'm 5'7 and 135 lbs. The thighs do bug me a little but I changed the straps a little and I want to wear them again before I try trimming

Security did eventually come up to me and very nicely ask me to remove my mask while on mall property due to recent shootings. But said it was fine to wear during pictures. I was very happy to oblige.

Again the biceps are off and I believe when I fix that the shoulder bells will fall into place. Still need to add belt pouches/ snap covers on the belt.

I wore my armor to the local mall to deliver my friends birthday gift while she was working. Was funny seeing a tk walking around with a big dinosaur balloon and gift. It was my first time walking around in the armor. The manager of a toy store came running out and begged me to come in and take photos with his customers.. it was actually a lot of fun.
the only complaint I have is the elastic on the biceps keeps coming out . But that should be easy to fix and when I do ill use black elastic. Also , fritzthefox gave me a good solution for making the grays on my helmet match.
I'm going to be leaving soon for military service but once I get home I think ill start the process of joining the 501st. Don't worry about the clamps meister... I have so many around the house for 3 sets of armor they'd just get thrown away.
Anybody see room for improvement in the pics?

First time wearing the entire armor including legs. Wish I could get a full body shot. Still need ab buttons / belt attatched . Also need the knee plate installed.
The butt piece seems to flair out a bit but I think I can fix it by adjusting straps

A word of advice - buy enough magnets. 8 is not enough if you want to get your armor built in a timely manner

Got my first forearm done using the overlap method. Looks really good so far. I am very happy and surprised by how well it fits my scrawney arm. Still dome minor trimming to do but but overall I think it turned out nice.

Sounds good to me.
I did just have an uh oh come up. Went to install the mesh over the Mic tips and realized I lost one. Anyone know where I can buy mesh that will match that I can cut to fit?

Thanks nicky. I plan on touching up the frown a little. Sounds good on the Mic tips. I know it sounds simple but its a big confidence booster when someone who has done a build says it.

The helmet is done except for the Mic tips. I just can't seem to get the Mic tips to line up and look right. Any tips for the Mic tips?

Yeah, I used the humbrol grey off trooperbay. I didnt notice they werent matching until you pointed that out... Hrmm..... Looks like Ill just have to stop being lazy and hand paint the tears and trapezoids.
I just finished putting the lower neck seal into place. That was a real pain to get over the ears but after much grunting and a couple sore thumbs later it is in place and really adds to the look of the bucket.
Tomorrow ill install the mic tips and start making nylon snap plates. A lot of the pieces will need to be bent slightly so they can fit together... Looks like ive got a date with the ole heat gun tomorrow.

My makeshift soldering station for putting my fans together. I've got several 12v squirrel fans. Not sure if I wanna run one or two fans. Considering 2 mostly to balance the weight.
Not sure what I'm gonna do for padding but I'm gonna need a lot due to my small noggin

Started painting the helmet tonight. Got everything from trooper bay. I really like the neck desk. You can tell that whoever does the sewing knows what they're doing! I can't wait to wear it with the armor. Also went down to tandy leather and bought 100 snaps. I like where this is going

Finally got my belt sander back. I got everything completely finished tonight. I think I figured out a way to post photos so we'll see if this works.
@ Tray- yea this is my first build but I really like this setup so far. The instruction cd you sent is very helpful.

Got the helmet completely assembled minus the paint/ Mic tips . Also have my armor completely trimmed and ready for glue/ snaps. As soon as I get my stuff from trooper bay I think this armor will really start to come together.
I should be seeing my other 2 tk's soon as well as my trooperbay stuff very soon so I'm gonna be a very busy armor building machine here shortly. Wish I could upload pics from my phone
