Was it up, down, left, left, X, Y or up, down, right, left, A, B, LB, RB?

I believe at that price you could buy from just about any of the approved armorers on FISD and know you have a quality, approvable kit.
-
Yes, right arm. I have loved the elastic band connecting the bicep and forearm. No armor bites at all for me with this setup.

I've just finished my helmet this evening. I'm pretty happy with how its turned out. I've kept all the details hand painted except for the tube stripes and I used a template from Trooperbay to paint those. I didn't trust my steady hand enough for those They needed some tidying up and I think they still have a nice hand painted feel.
Here are a few pictures of the finished bucket
And the inside.
Next its on to the armour build
Great job on the helmet! Hand painting it is DEFINITELY the way to go. Turned out to be my favorite part of my build.

Welcome, Riley! I'm not sure I would consider a TK "comfortable" to wear, but a sandtrooper would be an awesome costume to add to your collection. There are lots of knowledgeable people here who are always willing to help and answer any questions. I love my TK. You can also visit the guys at the Mos Eisley Police Department (http://www.mepd.net/) for more info on sandtroopers as well. Good luck and, again, welcome aboard!

Some crazy/amazing person has sorted every single word in Star Wars alphabetically in one 43-minute-long video. And here's one surprising fact: The movie only features the word "lightsaber" once. How weird is that?
I'll admit.......... hearing the word "Force" 22 times in a row is a bit jarring.
Enjoy.

I had thought about that a while back.. I think the word lightsaber is said only four times in the OT, none in ESB.

I had the same problems with my thighs. I trimmed some of the bottom of the shins, but it didn't solve my problem. I ended up trimming some of the top of the thighs and it fits a lot better.

I just went to our build thread Tony, and like most others, it's a bit hard to tell, but it looks like you did it the way of my first picture - top one on the left tube. More investigations required......
Yep, I wasn't aware at the time of my build that there was a difference, but I'm sure as hell not going to remove the stripes and repaint them.
-
And...... which one is left/right. I'll search for your Centurion build and see if you passed
I believe the bottom one in the picture goes on the left tube and the one on top goes on the right. I think the stripes are suppose to curve away from the frown.

I used trooperbay's templates as well. Worked very well.

It is better and more rewarding to pick a supplier from this site, and build your own. Welcome!

I like the bucket padding! Great build!
Me, too. What did you use?

The 2mm is acrylic capped, so it is much shinier, and feels heavier. Whereas the 1.5mm is still shiny and lighter, more flexible so less prone to cracks and splits and screen accurate.
This. I got the 1.5 mm because of the flexibility and screen accuracy plus I wanted to go with the original strapping (which you can only do with the more flexible 1.5mm). I love it and get comments all the time about how great it looks. I'm sure TM will send you a sample piece of each to see for yourself. Either way will be an awesome suit.

Awesome job! Well done.

Open the box. Take a deep breath. Go throw up. Get to trimming.
-
I like it. Bet it would be cool with the electronics, but would be a pain to walk in.
-
At first I thought it was cool looking. But seeing the rest of the pics, it is very rough looking. Not crazy about the parts being held down by screws. Using the rivet for the sight is just lazy IMO.
-
Congrats! Is it just me or does it look like there should be a little more trimming on the upper part of the eye sockets?
-
You could always ebay it and get SOME money back to put towards a better suit.
-
He said it's just for dress up... some of you guys take this ish way too seriously. Before jumping on the no-ebay train how about being helpful and simply answering the question at hand.
I thought that was what we were doing. For some of these prices his friend COULD get some good armor.
But if it will make you feel better.......
Please tell your friend to look around here first to see if he can find something that he might like a little better for the cost before buying from those ebay auctions.

Some of my favorite lines in the 3rd "suit" description:
This suit has been used and worn so it has some battle scars and scuffs, but to be honest I just think that adds to the authenticity as an unmarked mirror shiny one would just look fake.
This costume looks the absolute business when on, and all the pieces are there including the rare neck seal.
There really is nothing like turning up to a party in a genuine Storm Trooper costume as the compliments are endless (and the girls secretly love it ;-) When I bought it, the guy told me he was unsure as to whether it was actually prop, but that it was cast from the original moulds.
The boots which came with the suit were a little too heavy, to be fair I wore my golf shoes which looked fine. <--------

no, no, no, stay away from e-bay.
Actually what Patrick meant to say was NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you should be happy at 5'8". If people give you crap, simply reply "aren't you a little bald for a wookie?". 5'8" is not short.
I know. It's just a majority of the people I troop with are taller and I would like to be a little taller in the pictures.

I have the same armor from TM except I have the wire strapping instead of snaps. Everything I received was Centurion ready. Great armor! Looks fantastic when you wear it. You'll love it.
