  1. Spit is an old divers trick. :)

Too bad spit can smell a bit bad when it dries out. It's easier for divers since it's wet all the time.

Professional saturation divers use a little amount of washing-up liquid these days. It works just like the anti-fog spray that was also mentioned.

To apply it, just smear it on with your finger. ;)

First Look at 'Kick-an impolite person,' 'Watchmen' Authors' New Comic With Kidnapped Mark Hamill (Exclusive)

Millar said he reached out to Hamill to see if he would play himself in the sequence.

As opposed to some of his other Star Wars cohorts, Hamill is a fanboy of the highest order. He has been attending Comic-Con since its early beginnings, he’s written a comic, he has a fascination with comic-book history, and he launched a successful second career in as a voice actor primarily off of his work as the Joker in the 1990s animated Batman cartoons.

In an interview, Hamill said he had some initial reservations about appearing as himself—part of it stemmed from being self-conscious—but being immortalized by Gibbons in a story by Millar swept his concerns to the side.

“They sent me the pages and all the stuff about ‘self, of ‘being Mark Hamill,’ that went out the window,†he recalled.

Millar and Vaughn are developing Service for a big-screen adaptation with the goal of Hamill playing himself when the time comes.

“(Secret Service) is such a great mash-up of fantasy and relatable reality that my participation is almost superfluous when you take the long view of what a great concept it is," said Hamill. "I can’t wait to read issue #2.â€

  3. That's a great accolade!

Yes this is my CFO ROTJ armour.

I'm building 2 more suits at the same time this and next week. Ones going to be clean the other weathered like this. Then both are going out to two hopefully happy troopers:)

Mark, if my armour looks half as good as the pics in this thread, I'll be more than happy :th_AnimatedBravoSmiley: Feel free to post pics of you kickin' it around too, my heart can take it!

    CBR:

So we've seen in one preview panel in which the characters reference Mark Hamill and a another speaking about Hollywood film crews going missing. What's the origin of that thread? You've not actually drawn the actual Mark Hamil into the strip, have you? ...oh my word, does Mark Hamill not make it out alive?!?!

    Gibbons:

It is really Mark Hamill! I have drawn him into it, and we've had some e-mails back and forth with Mark, who as you know is a huge comic fan just as Mark and I are huge fans of what he did in the "Star Wars" movies. He and the film crews going missing are actually quite integral to the plot of the whole thing. As to whether Mark makes it out alive, you'll have to read the first issue to find out, but he certainly has an exciting time of it. I think his inclusion in it is one of the things that really gave me a thrill when I read Mark's script, and I think it'll really thrill the readers. You're going to see references in it that I think perhaps you wouldn't have expect in a spy comic.

Fingers crossed that Hamill makes an appearance in the movie too

    :)

  5. I'm currently trying to source a ROTJ E-11.

I know I'm entering murky water here... but I've asked this seller if he could build me a ROTJ E-11 and to what 501st standard. The pics of his other builds look impressive (to me anyway).

Has anyone had any previous dealings with him before or does anyone know him?

We've exchanged a couple of messages that I'm not willing to post here but if someone with more knowledge than I do (that'll be anyone reading this) wants to help me, I'll PM so we can discuss further.

    Thanks in advance

  6. Hello, Paul from Stirlingshire, Scotland.

I'm still in the research phase and haven't bought my armour yet, but as ROTJ was the first film I seen in the cinema, I think I'm going to get CfO's awesome kit. I still can't decide if I should go for the clean Death Star look or the dirty weathered Endor. I'd really like to try and enter at EIB level. Any tips on how to make this possible, will be most welcome. I'm all ears and willing to listen and try and learn from all you more experienced folks. I've read the awesome thread by Rich, that will be my main go to place for info.

I've booked for Celebration 6 in Orlando and my goal is to arrive as a member of the 501st. Really looking forward to it. But looking beyond this years C6, I'd like to help raise money for worthy charities and have fun geeking out while doing so, I think they call that a WIN! WIN!

On a more get-to-know-you-level, I was (still am) a massive LOST nerd who went to fan cons in Paris, LA, San Diego and London. I attended the Official LOST Marathon and watched every episode back-to-back in the Prince Charles Cinema, it took 92hrs 12mins, (15min break every 4hrs) and yes I was still scratching my head while watching season 5. (Who was in the outrigger, Lindelof?)

I enjoy reading Millarworld comics, my favourites being KickAss and Superior. I'm hooked on The Walking Dead comic and loving the TV show too.

Anyhoo, enough rambling, I've got build threads to read!

    Cheers
