  1. Hey thanks everyone for the kind words and encouragement. Im happy everyone is liking/approving the project so far :) I think I will move ahead with the project and go E11. I can always build me another sterling lol. As for some of the questions asked:

@ Matt (mailman70)- check out Apex gun parts, gun broker.com, Unique canes, Numrich guns

@ Steve (gazmosis)- So far the only tools Iv used is my dremmel with metal cutting wheels, grinding stones, sandwheels to surgically cut the original parts off and using the same tools for the main reciever tube plus the help of a drill press. To attach everything Iv just used JB Weld.

  2. Another deactivated sterling project, there are many like it but this one is mine lol. So I was able to cut out and re-use all the good original parts from the kit. I pretty much followed Jesse's tutorial to the "T" (http://forum.mepd.ne...?showtopic=8455) and did everything he did the same way. Everything works on this blaster. The back end cap comes off so the spring and bolt can slide out, the spring and bolt cox's/move. The trigger works in full auto, semi auto and safety modes. Mag clip clips in and releases, folding stock moves and locks in place both in the front and in the rear. I still have some touch up cleaning to do on it but I'm happy with how its turning out. Im thinking of keeping it two toned so everyone can see whats original and whats new. But do I keep it looking like just a sterling or do I move ahead and moddify if it to look like an E11?

  3. @ Chris- Hey man congrats on gettting the ATA suit/bucket :) Post some pics of your progress when you can. Also I see your in El Segundo I know we've got some troopers in your area who can help out as well but hit me up for anything and I'll see what I can do.

@Jenny- Boy do I have stories upon stories wrapped up in more stories lol. One example that comes to mind is about 5+ years ago we trooped a Halloween party in downtown L.A. where there was 100k+ people partying it up in the streets. Anyways, we were helpin g the local C.H.P. and Cops with crowed crontrol and directing traffic where we thought it would be fun to stop, board and comindeer a city bus, which we did :) Each troop will be different therefore each expericance will be different for each person. It all depends on your personality and how much your willing to "put yourself out there". When it comes to trooping events or costuming in general you'll only get out of it what you put into it.

@Steve-I know :) there must me something in the water lol, Can't wait to meet/troop with all of you soon
