    This so informative. I thank you for all those who has contributed to this forum.

    What's your opinion on ATA vs AM? I'm 5'9" and about 200 lbs. I guess I can loose a few. Does anyone have experience with either ATA or AM?

     

    For a little more AM comes in trimmed, ATA needs to be trimmed, but I'm more worry about sizing? Also read that AM helmets are not approved?

    Hello All,

     

    I'm really excited about joining FISD, ever since I saw Star Wars in Korea when I was 8, always wanted to be a part of "Star Wars" The funny thing was I had no idea what was going on that screen as far as story goes, gave up trying to read subtitle half through the movie. But I clearly remembered Vader and Stormtroopers. They were cool!!! and still is.

     

    My goal is to volunteer for charity. Been here for over 30 years and Life is good to me, and I would like to return it back, put smiles on people's face as a TK or TD.

     

    I'm still researching on Armor and costume.. I mean Uniform.

     

    I hope to meet some of you soon, talk and hear your experience.

    To all,

     

    I'm a newbie here so go easy on me.

     

    I've been reading about 501st legion and your work with a various charity is one if the biggest reason I want to join. And the fact that I do love star wars is second reason.

     

    I've been reading your forum and have learned alot and have a lots questions.

     

    1. I've been reading re. many of armor kit makers here in forum and I'm learning toward AM ABS kit due to easy assembly. I'm 5'9" about 195 lbs. And don't have tons of "kit or model building" experience. Has any have any experience with AM kits? Do you recommend them?

     

    2. I live near Rancho Cucamonga, Ca / Inland empire, is there any upcoming troop meeting? I would to attend if there is one.
