That's pretty sweet, tight fit having the Thermal Det and the Backpack. I wonder if they designers just got lazy and couldn't be bothered to take it off seeing as the pack covers it most of the time anyways
Sure the designers didn't make a difference betwen the backpackers and the non backpackers. It is clear in the 501st CRL that the HWT does not have the Thermal Detonator when wearing a backpack.

That's the question I was asking myself. Aparently TD and TK is just a general note. seems the TD stormtroopers (sand troopers) don't have the buttons on the tummy plate. But man, those are really cool. That's what I'm goinf for. The HWT TK (I guess)

I've browsed a bit over at the Rebel Legion forums, but didn't find anything substantial, only people asking for help to source materials or how to sew stuff.
Looks like that's the only way to go, so it might be a tedious project for someone who really doesn't know how to sew
But definitely do-able.
Wish him good luck, and pray we don't get a hand on him. Vader would be happy if we did. ;-)

Thanks guys! To be honest my perents are French, and then so am I, but I was born in Washington D.C. so I am also a US citizen. And I am fluent in both languages. So hey, if any of you guys have a problem with something in french, give me a hollar and I'll be glad to help. ;-) I will check out the French Section just in cas I have any neighbors in there! I do think I've chosen what I would like to go for. I believe they are HWT? Or TD? The troopers in the little pic that's in my presentation message are the ones I want to try to go for! Can someone confirm for me what spefic type they are?

so the difference between the two would be a sort of counter ballanced tie? If I get it straigt, HIPS is a bit cheaper, makes nicer better cut lines, but is not s resistant as ABS that is is a bit more expensive, pulls out are a bit less crisp, and it becomes yellow in the sun. It's take and give, but they both have advantages and inconvinences don't they? So how to make a choice? I have not yet had an armor yet so how can I choose?

Hello Troopers!
I am Trint Eastwood, From France. I have a job a bit out of the ordinary as I play guitar and sing in a Rock band. This gives me alot of free time for familly (Wife and Two kids) or hobbies, but no so much financial power. So I make up with personnal engagement and patient savings! I jumped on to the FISD hours only after taking the step on to the French 501st forum. For some particullar reason, after seeing the Star wars movies for the first time a long time ago in a galaxie far far away, my favorite character could have been Luke or Han, but no, could have been Vader! But no. Why is it that my favorite was and always is the stormtrooper? That I do not know. Mabe because the TK is neither Good of Bad, just loyal! And the thought of one day putting on my armor and running out with other fellow troopers has always been a childhood dream. I was born in Washington D.C., my French parents moved back to their country with us in 1988, where I have been living since.
This is the very begining, the first steps of another dream comming true. When I grow up, I want to be a Stormtrooper! I'm almmost an adult now (36 years old ;-) And since I've known the existance of this site all I do is spend hours comparing the differences between ANH armors and ESB or ROTJ armors. Very interesting studies. Which one is THE one I want to represent? I am the same size a famous jedi wearing ANH Hero armor (5ft7 / 1m75 for a very reasonable 145 pounds / 65kg), but how can a person, (who surly seems a bit small for a stormtrooper) find the armor maker who will be the best fit? I've read the posts on the different makes, but there are so many. I do really love the ANH Commander armor. But who to see? How to choose? I can not take the risk of buying an armour that would not be 100% satisfactory, and I know I will take the time to build it to the best I can. I do beleive that here of all places I will find the answers to my quest. And for this reason, in advance to any answers I know I willl have, I thank you all for being an inspiration to me. I am truely VERY EXCITED!!!! Troopers of the Galaxy...
