  1. Good work .. I'll definitely do the hand but trick .. never thought about that and I always felt it sucked that my mannequin's hand were so static .. thanks for sharing!

Yeah, I experimented with the mannequin's hands a few different ways, and this worked the best. You really have to be patient though!

  2. I wanted to share my display with you all.

Since taking the final picture, I made a change and lowered the ab plate and thigh armor, and thus covered the large gap near the knees. It looks a whole lot better.

  3. :o NO NO NO No Kepp this kit, I have the "Far too much MR thing", and mine sucks. It's never for wear just sit on shelf kind of thing, if you want a MR bucket, go Clone they are kool but dont give up this good kit for something I feel is not worth it. MY two cents!

    Sale is pending.

And as far as keeping it, I can't. By the way, I am buying a MR Boba Fett. My wife is kind enough to let me do these projects, so I have to compromise.

  4. Hey guys/gals,

I just received my AP (Authentic Props) Stromtrooper helmet kit, and I love it! Much easier to assemble than the F/X, smaller, and more accurate. Only problem is I have the opportunity to buy a MR helmet, and the wife says one or the other!

So.............................I need to sell it and as quicky as possible. For those who don't know, this helmet kit costs $275.00 and $20.00 to ship.

I am selling it for $210.00 plus $15.00 shipping to US only.

This kit is brand new and has never been worked on or altered in any way, I just got it 2 days ago! It comes with all the accessories to include decals, areators, brow and neck trim, hardware, lens material, and ear caps.

If interested, please let me know ASAP! For those who may be hestitant because I am a new member here, have no fear, I am established on TDH (thedentedhelmet.com, user azheat01), eBay (use azheat01), and PayPal.

    Thanks.

  5. Hey Guys/Gals,

First, I hope this is the right section to post this. If not, I trust the mods will move it to the correct location.

Second, I just bought an FX kit, which I am very pleased with as this is my first, but certainly not my last, set of armor. However, I noticed the shin armor was a little too short and they do not close all the way in the back. You can see in the picutre they are about 17" high in the front. Rather than buy a shorter mannequin (this one is 6'), I would prefer another set of shin armor. I did not modify the armor in anyway. It seems the shins on my mannequin are just a little thicker than the limit for the shin armor.

My question is, does anyone here know if there is a way to purchase some larger shin armor? I really don't want to modify these as I don't believe I have the skills or patience, and I want it to look professional.

I would like a set that is about 3" taller and maybe a bit larger in the calf area. I can't move these up any further becasuse of the structure of the mannequins shins, they didn't fit at all when I tried that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks.

  6. Hello All,

I am looking for a pair of Stormtrooper boots. I have searched eBay and there is a guy who sells boots for $60.00; however, I have emailed him at least 3 times through eBay and once through his alternate email listed in his auction but not a word in response. He/she may be very busy, but 4 emails and nothing.

The problem is he/she does not list sizes in the eBay auctions.

I have checked on-line and did a search of the forums without much luck.

Rather than buld them myself, does anyone have any sugeestions? Thanks.
