  1. I am going to reintroduce myself here. I have been absent for 3 years. In fact I actually forgot I was a member. I joined in 2011 and was looking to get a TK armor, but then life got in the way and I got busy With other prop building. I recentry had a display at Fan-Con in thunder bay Ontario and I was right next to the 501st tent. Amazing group of guys and gals, I like to think I made some great friendships this past weekend. My Life size foam R2 was even inciuded in a lot of 501st photo shoots which was awesome. This has reignited my desire to not only get some stormtrooper armor but to also bring it up to the high standards of being a member of the 501st. I plan on doing a lot of research before I jump in and purchase anything so I apologize now for all the questions I Will be asking.

    Here's a bit about me.

Name Jamie Young, Born/raised in England moved to Canada 14 years ago when I married the love of my life Sarah, we have been married for 14 years and have 4 amazing children. I love prop building, drawing, animating, playing Halo With my kids.

I am the branch clerk in my local church and run the Elders Quorum. My Family attend church every Sunday and it is a big/huge part of our life.

I enjoy taking my props to a local school at least 2 times a year, and because they are light weight and made of foam I let the kids (both young and old) touch, hug and poke the props! They get a real kick out of not only being able to see these things but also wear items and play With others. So far I have built life size replicas of R2-D2, Wall-e, Proton pack, flux capacitor , G1 Laserbeak, G1 Ravage, an Ewok (yeah I know), Predator helmet, Iron man bust, Master chief bust, G1 starscream bust and a Horus Headdress from StarGate SG-1. I also have lots more half finished projects and even more on the drawing table. I have a facebook page .https://www.facebook.com/FoamtasticProps?ref=hl

    Jamie.

  2. I appreciate the info and and kind words. I am not a member of the 501st yet, my clone armour isn't quite complete and not up to their standards YET. I have been a member of the clonetrooper.netforums for over 2 years now, but thank for for the info. And a big thank you for letting me know who to stay away from. I hope to be quite the regular here. I will read all the forum rules over and over just to make sure I dont do anything wrong. :)

  3. As the title says, I am from a small town in Ontario Canada called Atikokan (caribou bones or dry Caribou bone in ojibway)

I am married and have 4 amazing children, love to spend my time with them, and they love to help me out on all my projects.

I enjoy sports, going to Church and sci-fi movies. I am in the middle of building a replica TARDIS and DALEK (from Doctor Who).

I have built a clone trooper armour before and am now looking to get a stormtrooper and possibly a snowtrooper armour.

I look forward to meeting some great new friends here.
