  1. Well i am working on a kit from matt (TE) and i was told the helmet was biscuit but it appears to be a more of an off white color i got some biscuit colored appliance epoxy which is what was recommended to me by matt

well i gave a quick coat to the chest and ab pieces but the color is far darker than the helmet ..

Is it supposed to be like this should i get a different paint?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

plus if anyone knows where to get the white edge molding for a low price Would help alot! ;):dancing-trooper:

  2. I am in the process of assembling an ATA kit. It's my first set of armor and I couldn't be more pleased. He doesn't take your money until the armor is made, so it's at your door a couple of weeks (or sooner depending on location) after you pay him. Great businessman and a great product. He also has a website set up for ATA owners where you can get help assembling if you need it.

I have made up my mind ata!

  3. Tell him hi from Graham UK, and thanks for robbing me of £700 for a helmet that was sold as a lie.

If you get the goods before you pay cash, and check them, then good on you mate and go for it.

And make sure you work out the costs before agreeeing to the price, he doubles/ triples and more the true value of his stuff.

Other than that stay well away from this robbing git.

I will buy a TE2 next, and I will neve r deal with Matt again

    Regards

i see... ok im leaning towards ata hows the durability?

  4. I have been in contact with matt and he seems like a good guy and his armor looks great but i understand there has been many problems with shipping i was going to meet him in person since he lives close to me to do the exchange he was asking 500 and ata is only 380 which route should i go,which is more durable?

  5. Hi Connor, Welcome aboard!

Read and research is the key in helping you get the right armor for you. The FISD is packed full of info to help find and build a great suit of armor, so pull up a chair, and have fun.

To start you off in the right direction, look at these links:

When it comes to buying armor, stay away from stormtrooper-costumes.com, and starfortressproductions.com, bad product, unscrupulous characters, etc. Also, stay away from ebay, all you will find there is inferior recast or someone's second hand stuff they are trying to get rid of. Also, stay away from the Rubies "Supreme" Stormtrooper costume. Rubies is just an expensive Halloween costume and will take a lot of work, a new helmet and quite a bit of money to get it up to 501st standards.

If you need help, just post.

    Make yourself at home, :)
