Thanks, guys. Sorry... yeah I'm in Warrington, UK.
It was a few months back that I submitted a request to the 501st in the hope it was with enough notice.
It was only at lunchtime today I thought of asking the FISD.
I'll ask one of the staff to re-name the thread.
Thanks again, guys!

I haven't been a member of this forum for long, so I apologize in advance for breaking any protocols.
It's my little boy's 5th birthday party on 9th Oct & wondered what is the procedure for requesting an appearance? I had submitted a request to the 501st, who very politely declined explaining they are unable to attend all of the incredible amount of requests they get. But I wondered if it'd be out of order to ask local members of this site?
Once again, I apologise if my query is out of order or I'm breaking any rules.
Cheers.

Sounds like you have a nice SW replica collection.
My opinion about Full TK vs. .45 scale, there's no contest, Full TK! but I always say, go big or go home.
BTW, your pic of your SDS lid was not working so I was able to copy and paste it into the browser and remove the bad was able to re-post it, so everyone could see it. Nice SDS TK lid
It is in the next post below:
Thanks Rogue... I realised what I'd done wrong after reading your post. Fixed now, but thank-you again!
My wife got me into collecting the Koto figures after she bought me the lid - it looked lonely in the cabinet on it's own so the 3 Koto Sandtrooper variants were bought to keep it company & the collection just grew from there. I even had the full-scale MR Mace Windu & Yoda lightsabres displayed with their Koto figures. Reducing the collection due to space, so sticking to collecting Imperial/Dark Side Koto & Stormtrooper kit.
My original idea was to distress a V.1 & V.2 Clone helmet, to show the evolution of the Stormtrooper. But then I thought "I'll need a Jango Fett helmet, too... plus a Boba Fett to show the evolution of THAT helmet!". LOL. Space is too limited to display 5 helmets so I thought I'd complete a full armour than repeat different versions of the same, & .45 scale would fit nicely in the cabinet. But I think I'll do a full-size E-11 blaster first as it'd go nicely with the lid, & give me the chance to see how I get on in the self-build stakes!
It'd be great to do a complete full-size. I really admire the charity-work the 501st, etc, do & while I do some charity fundraising for Help for Heroes & The Jennifer Trust, I'd like to do more. Plus it's a great excuse to persuade the wife to ignore the white armour in the corner!! LOL.
I'd definitely do it when funds allow - another reason to sell the TIE Pilot lid, Anakin & Yoda lightsabres... I'm kinda talking myself into doing this, aren't I!!??

Here's the SDS lid...

Saw this on eBay.
Watching it myself, but haven't got the funds to buy. Just thought someone else here might be interested?

Thanks for the welcome!
I'll get some pics of the SDS helmet up tomorrow, probably. The wife really spoiled me when she bought it for me.
I did get my numbers mixed up, tho - the Stormtrooper helmet is no.351. The TIE Fighter Pilot helmet is earlier... that's no.91. Sadly, can't display both of them, so thinking of selling the Pilot lid & funding extra storm/sand trooper bits.
Just got a MR scaled replica of the stormtrooper lid to go with the scaled E11 blaster. Weighing up the idea of doing a full stormtrooper in .45 scale?? Would take up much less space than a full-size figure in the corner!! And less chance of upsetting the wife! LOL

Awesome build.
Think I may have to make some more space in the display case & get to work on one of these once the helmet is finished!
Great work!

Found your forum today & decided pretty much straight away to join.
I've been a fan of Star Wars since the 'original' release in 1977... totally blew me away!
As I've gotten older, the films have held my attention & enthusiasm - from the technical side of filming, thru to the technical side of the machines, droids & equipment portrayed in the films.
Now, I'm almost thru collecting the figures, etc (tho I do collect the Kotobukiya figures of the Imperial troops / Dark Jedi). My wife bought me an early-release SDS Stormtrooper helmet, which is awesome. Now I want to restore/customise a kit-form helmet of my own.
There are some fantastic works of art created by the members of here (& affiliated sites), so I'll apologise now if I ask too many questions! LOL
Thanks,
Rob
