I found a site promoting "Star Wars Stormtrooper Costume Armour - 501st Original Replica - ANH - Absolutely Beautiful" Has anyone heard of Jedi-Robes? Are they reputable? Anyone have any idea if this is worth the $?

Thanks for all the info, looks like I jumped the gun and got the wrong suit! The good news is I'll be able to return and get something worthwhile. I found a place in the UK that has 501st replicas and comes complete and ready to rock. A little more money but definitely worth it.

Well that sucks, thats the one I ordered. I'll check out their return policy and try to send it back. I'll have to do some research and find somewhere to get a screen accurate one. If I do get a screen accurate costume, I can still expect to have to make the straps and stuff right? I've already ordered the IS Velcro, snaps, elastic, and stuff. I knew it sounded to good to be true. Thanks guys.

Didn't use Ebay but I did use an online Halloween costume storm. I got the "Supreme Authentic Stormtrooper cosyume." Was that a bad idea?

I recently decided to get my Stormtrooper armor and I thought I had done sufficient research. Turns out I might have been wrong. After I ordered I started finding all this info. on different armor types, mods, etc. Well, I ordered my armor from an online halloween costume store, its listed as "Authentic Stormtrooper Costume Supreme Edition" My question is, does anyone have any experience with this type of armor? Would this be classified as FX, Ap, or what? And how much work can I look forward to to make this wearable? And finally, will it be good enough to join the 501st? Thanks for any help.

My name is Justin, I found this site through another forum. I asked a question and was directed here and I sure am glad I was. I started looking around yesterday and I can't believe how much info. is on here. It's amazing and as a new guy I just want to say thanks. Haven't even got my armor yet but I sure have a way better idea on how to proceed thanks to everyone on here. Anyways, I work for the State Dept. over here in Kabul, Afghanistan and every year we have a Halloween party and I figured that was a great excuse (to use on the wife) to finally get my costume. So I look forward to getting my kit together and thanks again.
