Hello all,
I got this as a present and I was wondering is there a clever way to estimate it's value:
Size is A3 (297x440) plus frames. It's numbered 90/500 and has LFL Certificate of Authenticity. Any idea or reference? AND if you are interested in buying, I might part with it since our Garrison could do some proper acquisitions with the money.

He's around, response time for emails has been about 20 minutes lately.
-
I am meeting the guy this Tuesday, we'll do that.
-
As sais earlier, this is something we are stuck with, I am the country rep in Finland and this guy's wife bought him a surprise. Now we are stuck with this, I am hoping that huge pile of money doesn't go to waste, but instead we could modify armor for 1) 501st acceptance and 2) in the long run maybe upgrade his armor to better ones.
Can you help me out with this one? I can have better pics taken to see the details better.
-
Could somebody give an educated answer, if someone has this armor, can it be modified for 501st acceptance level?
I agree that it's no way ideal, but friend's wife bought him a surprise gift...

Very nice! 1st UKG and 1st AP! You Centurion guys make me wanna work harder.
-
Thanks for your insight, in principle I agree that they should be changed, but for person looking at you, not directly from left or right, but instead slightly more behind, they will see one velcroed backside anyway. Definately will do this at some point.

What's the latest word on the AM overlaps? Looking at this and #156, there the comment was that they need to be fixed:
With AM suit you put the shin armor in wrong legs, end up having the overlaps to the wrong side or redo the back of the shins totally. Which one is it, there seems to be some inconsistency?

We'd need 700 EI to do that. I'll be happy if we hit 200 EI by the end of the year and 10 Centurions by that same time frame.
There' nothing wrong in aiming high!
-
At long last, I'm pleased to announce that FISD finally has more Expert Infantryman than MEPD has Police Officers.
Next we need to aim for the same percentage out of total armors out there.

The Bay of E will work also and yes, it's available in Sweden, check NG forums.

You can buy enamel paint solvent from hobby / paint / home reno stores.
Enamel paint solvent is white spirit to my understanding, you pay a lot of extra for the brand name and small packaging. Same with e.g. the plastic weld for Polystyrene model kits and ABS that is actually chemical called MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone) and dirt cheap where available.
-
White spirit should do well. I use turpentine due to price and easy availability, works well enough.

I was aiming for the birthday and it was taken just days before I was accepted. My second choice was something that started with seven, '76 is the right year still, but 72 is 2 months early.

Just a clarification, UKG guys are using skin mics linked above and not throat mics for example? I don't know if direct link works, but something like this:

This is also a good way of 'Troopers making other troopers smile and feel good'. Rock on CFO!

I tried buddy's AP helmet and it was practically on top of my head, then it's wrong size... Other ones I've used TM and FX go both in sideways...

If it were a cake, I'd love it.
Too bad it's not edible...
Dennis: Anything is edible, you just have to chew a bit harder!

The reason why I found this, tried looking if the new Adidas Stormtrooper A-15 track suit would be available...
-
What do you make of this? Someone has been asking of 501st standards already...
-
First I needed personalised winter gloves:
Very cool but keep my hands warm!
After mittens, it was time to get ready for the biking season:
Front: TK faceplate, my digits plus motto 'good guys wear white'.
Left: 501st logo and Empire in the back.
Right: TK with alternative sidearm SE-14R.
Helmet is standard Bell skating helmet, has been in use for about a year, so some wear and tear and scuff marks can be seen.
The drawings are done with black and grey marker from reference pics.
What accessories do you have?
Any idea on how much is this litography worth?
