RogueTrooper- I have contacted my local garrison and hope to get help from them soon. I do like build things so starting from untrimmed is probably going to be my best bet. Thanks for the help.

I need help finding armor. I'm listing below what I've gathered that I want out of it.
I would like to get a hold of either a kit or an assembled ANH TK armor that I can weather into Sandtrooper armor. I would like it to be acceptable to the 501st. I'm not sure if I want ABS or HIPS for the kind of plastic, but I would like to do mild trooping in the armor.
Since I would be converting to TD armor, it might be better that I get a non assembled kit so that I can sand and weather myself. I'm not sure what it'll cost me for the kit + the conversion, but any ball park figures would help. Currently, I don't have a garage area to do the painting in, but that may change. Do you guys think it would be better for me to get a pretrimmed armor? I would rather have it trimmed by an experienced person, than screw something up when I'm doing it. I imagine that there is a kit that would probably fit my build almost perfectly (5'9" and 160lbs), but I could be wrong. I saw the AP sandtrooper armor somebody put on here a couple days ago and it was gone like that. Any tip you guy could give me would be great. Also, links are good too.
Thanks!

Thanks Guys. I was completely into bidding on it, but I just wanted to see what you guys thought. TRying to get my first set to gain 501st status. Thanks

Found this FX armor on eBay. What do the guys with armor think about this. Is it worth a bid?

Hello everyone,
I have just joined your forum in hopes that I can find info on costuming and etc. I would someday like to join the ranks of the 501st and hope to find help along the way to that goal. Also, I would like to constuct my own armor; however, I neither have the time or space to do that. Currently, I work full time as a Mechanical Technician to help me raise money for college, which I will be starting this coming Fall. I've always want to have my own stormtrooper armor and was thinking that building my own would make the experience even better. But as I say again, such a task is not going to happen anytime soon.
I look forward to sharing information and recieving learning between the members of this site. Thank you.
