Hello, I don't post often on the forum but I wanted to show you some details improved on my SDS battle spec helmet.
(I showed some pics before but now I prefer the new details I did)
Just imagine before,When I received it I was very disapointed, ok the ears are not well made but It's not the most important thing. The eyes were cuted realy badly.
I realized that the most important thing is the eyes and the brow trim position, It does a lot of things.
So I modified and changed the brow trim + I worked again on the eyes and here's the result:
And here's the result on the mannequin with SDS armor :

WOW !
This is just one of the coolest thing I have seen this summer !
I will be really happy to have one
P.S: your website is also very nice, awesome work for everything

Le Dude (like my French???),
Nice collection of helmets wow. Looks like you have a full Vader suit as well. How long have you been collecting Star Wars stuff?
Thanks again everyone
I have serious star wars stuff in my collection for around 5 years now
-
So your the guy who bought it!!!!
Yes It was on the RPF,
It was expensive but I like the helmet.
-
Thank you
I received something new in my collection...
A GINO V2 ANH SMOOTH CAP STUNT TROOPER HELMET
And from left to right the family picture : TE, GINO, MR, SDS stunt, SDS battle spec
The GINO V2 is now the new "official" helmet on my SDS display.
The color is not exactly the same but is really near my SDS armor:

Great collection!
Is it me of I always felt like the SDS helmets had smaller more triangular eyes?
Somehow, I really respect those people getting them because darn, for the price, I'd sure get 3-4 other helmets
You're right, the SDS has more triangulare eyes...
I know It's expensive...I like them how they are even If I wish I had more TE instead...

from the top , there's a TE, MR, SDS stunt, SDS battle spec and MR clonetrooper
-
Thank you
An here's apic of all the white helmets I have now :

Nice !
This is a very good If you can do 2 helmets at the same time.
I am currently working on my first TE helmet and I begin to understand how It is to prepare everything.
You have 2 beautiful helmets and the first paint job is very good.

Hi everyone , I open this topic to show off my stormtroopers helmet collection.
For the moment this is the beginning with 3 helmets, I have a SDS battle Spec, SDS stunt Styrene and a Master Replicas.
I am waiting for a TE kit I will have to paint, and I will wait to find some new helmets (I wish I had more fan made accurate helmets)
I know the Master Replicas is not screen accurate and is idealized but I like how it looks.
BTW : If you want a special pic or more comparison pics between the MR and SDS stunt just ask
Click on the pics to enlarge :
(left : SDS battle spec, middle : MR, right : SDS stunt)

The thing that amazes me is how different angles/lighting make soo much difference when observing the helmet.
Thank you,
The lightning is very important like most of the helmets we see in star wars. A bad lightning can make things bad even If you have a real helmet or a screen accurate one.
We are used to see some kind of particular lightning.
I'm sure a vader helmet for exemple under the sun would look strange like some stormtroopers helmets...

thank you everyone
today I wanted to change something on my other SDS helmet (the Battlespec in ABS)
Idid not like the eyes so I made them a little bit bigger.
Here's a comparison pic of how It was before and now :

TK-4510, It's really a very nice tutorial thank you for it !
Now I want to build a TE kit !
But first I have to collect a lot of pictures and to read a lot of topics and this forum is very nice for that.

Thank you everyone, here's my website where I show all my props : ---------
So far this is what I have in my stortrooper helmets collection :
-------------
I want to improve my collection and I would like to have more accurate helmets like TE2, that would be nice to have one already built.
I was interested by a master replicas helmet but a fan made helmet would be better...
I hope here in the "for sale or trade"I will find what I want one day...
BTW : happy new year!

Hi everyone
I wanted to share some pics with you of my current ANH display, I know this display is not screen accurate but I think It's not that bad.
Before to have a SDS stunt helmet I used the battle spec helmet and I did not like how It was, this is why I bought the SDS stunt helmet...
I was lucky to buy all these SDS pieces before the price jump on the SDS website...
I wish I had instead a TE armor or something like that...
So this is what I have on my display : a full SDS armor in ABS + a SDS stunt helmet in styrene + a resin blaster , all of these things on a 6ft bendies mannequin.
Here's some pics :

Concerning the stormtrooper costume I have a full SDS armor with a SDS stunt helmet + another SDS battle spec helmet.
I know we can always find better things that SDS, so this is why I am here...
I wanted to be a member here to have some informations about the best stormtrooper helmets ...I wish I had some new helmets in my prop collection and I 'm sure I will find some help here.
BTW : here's a pic of my display :

Best regards from France

Hi everyone
I don't post often in the forum but I wanted to show you what I did...
I must be mad to do that...but I did it may be I'm the only one who did that...
Anyway I have a Master Replicas Stormtrooper hero Limited edition helmet.
I found it like a nice idealized helmet,
a kind of tribute to the idea of what can be a stormtrooper helmet...
but I didn't like the look he had and the brow was too high for the hero version I like.
And because I also have some accurate helmets to compare it,
I decided to change the brwo position on the MR...
So It was hard to take out the brow because of glue,
then It was really difficut to take out the glue.
After that I used another decals on the cap because of the glue on the paint.
But It was possible to have a lower brow and a better look.
Here's some pics :
(before and after)
And here's the helmet now :
Let me tell you It's not the same helmet now, I feel a more menacing look with low brow and even If It's not accurate,
It's more accurate than before.
