  1. This is the best movie I've seen since ROTJ! Saw it on a Regal Digital 3D screen, and this is the way 3D movies are suppose to be made. None of that cheesy, sling a yo-yo out at you... no, this drew you into the movie and in the the jungle/forest. AWESOME!

I've been twice already and hope to make it a third time, before it moves on.

  2. Thanks for the welcoming, and especially the PMs.

I'm eager to jump in and get my feet wet, but realize that patience is needed to determine what sets are out there and which one ultimately works the best for me (look, easy of assembly, price, etc.). I'm sure many questions will be coming in the near-future, but for now, it's exciting to get registered both here at FISD and with Garrison Tyrannus.

    /salute

  3. Howdy, all.

With the kind direction of Thumpy from Garrison Tyrannus (Virginia), I have taken the leap to register here at FISD.

    Some background:

I am 35 years old, happily married, and have two daughters (4-years, and 20-months). My parents made the mistake of taking me to see Star Wars when I was 4-years-old, and then again, and again... somehow I managed to convince them to take me 15 times. In fact, when it was re-released as A New Hope, I argued for with them for a whole afternoon that this was a different movie. (The Original will always be Star Wars to me. Begrudgingly, I'll call it Episode IV, but it takes focused willpower to call it A New Hope.) Since then, I have acquired actions figures, video games, LEGOs, FX Lightsabers, and virtually all of the books.

I've been keeping tabs on the 501st for several years, and have been quite impressed with the charity work y'all have done. My wife pushed hard for me to get a set of stormtrooper armor this Christmas. Starting me research, research, research, I am looking to buy a set as close to CRL-approved as possible. Though I am a Chemist by education and profession, I am secure enough in my manhood to admit that I am decidedly not handy with machinary or tinkering (beyond LEGOs, of course). So, I'm hoping to acquire a nearly perfect set and seek the add of my fellow Garrison Tyrannus squadmates to help me with the finishing touches.

Anyway, enough about me: greetings and salutations!
