Thank you so much for all who helped along the way. Not "elite" yet but have some more tweaking to do before that. I'm very happy with the result and am glad I was talked into putting this together even though the task looked daunting. Hope you like the pictures in my gallery.

Anybody has any tips on how to attach them? I have bought smoked green lenses cause I will not use the green see - through - plastic.

It all worked out fine. Cut the screws, glued them to the plate. Glued it all together. Sits like a rock. Thanks for all the help.

Hello! I have had headache about getting this AB plate fastened. (See pictures below). I was told to trim it. I trimmed it half way first but to late I realized that the screws would be in the way. I then tried to trim it down to make the screws go through the ABS and fasten in the back. To short! I then figured I didnt want to do this and asked the AM people to send me another one. I even tried the "for sale section " here. The AM people then said trimming it all the way down would look awesome (it does) and that I shouldnt bother getting another one. So how do I fasten this? The Only thing I can think of is E6000 and cutting the screws doen and simply glue them too.
Any help would be great. I hope I havent screwd this up.

Here's an AP build from Stukatrooper:
and one from TK300: http://www.tonybarnett.plus.com/tutorial.html
I have used these two as well as many pics found right here on the FISD. Great stuff!
Thank you so much! Thats just what I needed.

Hi again! Im just getting started to put the whole AM armor together. I have trimmed and fitted most of the parts. Glued the parts that needs to be glued. Ive looked through the site in hopes of finding a guide in how to meassure and apply snaps/rivets and everything (good picture guides) The kits manual basically only says I should velcro everything.
Can someone maby share some links to other troopers assembly? I find pictures help alot, but a step by step would be great.

Hello Christian,
I used to combine the AP helmet with the forerunner to the AM, the FX armor. As did many others, and one of the reasons for this was because the plastics used (ABS) was a pretty good match, in both color and shine. My AP had a slightly more blueish tint than the FX, but not so much that it was noticeable under regular indoor lighting conditions.
I don´t know if they´re using the same type ABS for the AM as they did for the FX, but you could contact the AM people and ask?
I´m now using the AP helmet with a HIPS TM armor----------
Also, have you visited the local garrison board? If not, make sure you stop by and say hello!
How do i contact the AM people. The person I got the parts from was not the creator

I notice that the AP helmet is very cool white while the new AM armor is kinda warm yellow shine in the white color. Any tips from people with this combo on how to match them better?
All the best

Hello all! Greetings from Norway. I am building the AM armor and I am also building the AP helmet. One thing I notice when I got it was the the color on the AP and the color on the AM body really dont match. Also the AM body is very shiny while the AP helmet is matte. I can see from pictures that some AP helmets are shiny so what can I do to make these match more??
One more question. Do I glue the black sealing-thing at the edge of the opening after the helmet is completed
Hope someone can help me.

Hello everyone! I was told I should introduce myself here first so here goes. Im 34, live in norway and work as a graphic designer. I have been a star wars fan since I was 7 so I'm longtime fan. I have wanted to get my own cutstom made trooper uniform join the 501st for a long time. I dont have the first clue where to begin. I know what type of armour I want but I really hope someone will help me and maybe also someone who can custom make it for me. I really dont wanna go on ebay cause I hear horror stories.
I'm interested in the original trooper. I hear its the most basic uniform out there. I am tall so if that makes a difference to what type of armor I should have then please let me know!
Looking forward to finally doing this! yay!
My AM build is done! New TK armor[*AM]

Well the helmet matches the armor very well in the pictures, and in real life it matches okay. The Gloss is the main problem but maybe I can do something about that. The armor is slightly warmer in the white color and the helmet is cooler. But in normal lighting its a good match
