Love this. Very nicely done and not over the top with the HDPE under the paint chips. Nicely weathered armour to accompany that fantastic helmet too. Great job.

Stuka, can you post up a diagram of the wiring for this mod please, mate?
Cheers.

I've had many of different helmets over the years including TM, Te2 etc etc and know how good they are. I still have these in my collection/display. I sold my TD helmet some time ago and am now looking to replace it for the said display.
I'm simply asking for the contact info rather than me have to go through endless amounts previous threads and guess work just to possibly end up no further in my search!
Hope someone can assist a fellow trooper

Rather than bring it all up again, would you mind pm'ing me the info to track one down please Martin?

Hey troops,
A couple of years back I bought a VT helmet. I was really happy with the service and the helmet, in fact it was the helmet I chose to use for my mepd swat gear.
I have since tried to re contact vt through the old email address but its been nearly two weeks with no reply
Has anyone had any dealings with vt recently? Does anyone have an up to date email address for him?
Cheers.
*EDIT* mods - I have noticed this is in the wrong area. Please move to the Armoury section! Thanks.

I carefully made my first trim, then paused to go throw up.
That actually made me lol a little. Good luck with the rest of the build dude

I've had three td kits from Andy in the past. He's a genuine, helpful and honest bloke. His kit is good for the price.... In fact I even still send people his way if they're after parts or full kit. You'll be looked after if you buy from him.

Wow - somewhere I've always wanted to go. Nice looking place.

the only way to find out would be to locate who owns this email:
vacuum_dis@hotmail.com
i have tried email address reverse look ups but it point to redmond wa, to microsoft of course...there must be a way to get the name of the person who registered this email...

It sounds like you have sprayed on to much paint. Could you sand it down very slightly and then just spray a VERY light amount over?

Brad, That scan is my SFS project.....a while off yet but I'm working on the Brian R helmet moulds and hope to have a test pull this weekend with a bit of luck.......
Make sure you keep me/us posted on both of them Skunks!!! man, I can't wait for these!!!

VT often has SALE prices on his stuff. It's really just a matter of timing. Keep checking his listings.
With regards to Tony (TE2), he will get back to you at some point. The guy is very busy with his 'real' job but he is one of the most honest and respected armourers out there.
Joe, Mark - I really cannot wait for this lid to be ready. The scan you sent me Joe looks the dogs bo**ocks! I'm definitely in for one of these bad boys!

Sweet lids, but I have to ask a serious question: do you have any kids? I ask because I have 4 kids and most of my money goes to them. My wife would never approve of my owning that many lids. <_<
What a strange thing to ask
Hey Gra, I've got an addiction to buddy. I have literally JUST paid VT for my next TD lid. That makes SEVEN in total now!!!! Bring it on!

Awesome ----- but isn't the 'move along' helmet brow a wee bit too high?
No! The higher the better for TD's!!!

Great set up there Jim!
Can you paste a link to the speakers that you used please mate? I'm trying to search for an equivalent that's available here in the UK.
Cheers,

For me it's all about the seller. I'm a believer of "treating customers right". If I have a good experience with a seller and I'm happy with the product I have paid for (TM!) then I will return to that seller for future purchases. If I have bad experiences with a seller or even heard how that seller has badly treated others from this community, then I will not buy or return - quite simple really!
Don't get me wrong, they do look like nice buckets, however, My first port of call for any accurate lids will always be TM and TE2. Great products and great blokes.
I too believe that leopards can't change their spots.

After several emails from andy and some other guys that have got his kit, I have decided to go ahead and order from him! Okay so I may have to wait until pay day, but at least I'm close to getting my sandtrooper and rejoining the ukg!
Many thanks to all that answered and sent pm's, that's what makes this forum so great!
Andy, I'll be in touch very soon with the order details!
Watch this space...
Cheers,

Just looking at the photos and seeing the ears as one piece with the helmet instead of separate pieces screwed in, makes me think it might be a recast.
Yeah I thought that but on his advertisment he states
"ANH stormtrooper helmet
Classic stunt style trooper lid , 4 part construction ( faceplate , back 'n'cap and 2 ears)"

Troops,
I'm looking around for some decent Sandtrooper armour and have seen this on flea bay. Any one ever bought from this guy or know of the quality?
I have mailed the guy a couple of times and he seems friendly, however it all comes down to the quality for money! Up for sale in the link is just a helmet although he has stated that he sells the complete armour.

Troops,
I'm in the middle of assembling my FX kit and am soon going to be weathering it. I have looked over the net for decent clear shots of sandtroopers, not just from the movies but also fan's buckets, and have not had much luck.
Do any of you guys have pics thst you can post of your sandys?
Many thanks,
Smally.
