Hey guys,
I'm looking to sell my Secret Apprentice costume. The costume is done in the deathstar robes style, and it's from the final battle of the game, when the Secret Apprentice fights Vader or the Emperor, or both, however you handle your ending.
I'm looking for the costume to sell in the ballpark of 950$ as it was NOT cheap to make, but I'd like to hear some offers before I put a final number down in this thread. Admins, please tell me if this is against forum policy.
Please PM me if interested.
I am 5'11", 180 pounds. This costume can fit larger or smaller, just needs tailoring to the smaller geared people. It will fit larger, I'd say up to...190-possibly 200 pounds.
Here are some pictures:

Everything is included, that is pictured minus the lightsaber.
Note: This costume was a labor of love, and as such, I'm going to want serious offers. This is a unique costume, and one that whomever purchases will enjoy.

If you need a belt done up, I'd be willing to make one for you.

On mine, if you have any extra nomex gloves instead of rubber, I'll pay extra for those...
I was thinking, if you just throw together the elastic attachment and then make it "set" in the latex, as in, a part of the latex so that when you pull on it, it's not super glued, or epoxied or anything like that, wouldn't that allow the elastic to stay "forever"?
Here's your handguard (______)
And then the elastic (------)
Make it set permanently as the latex cures I guess?

Although, on the scout I'll admit I'd probably change the blue to a white or a grey.

I think the Scout with the clone style pauldron doesn't look half bad honestly...

How much is 200 pounds in US dollars?
I might just...
-
I'd want one too

I recently ordered a copy and love the movie.
and i can appreciate that your just trying to allow everyone a chance to see it....
I could see lending it to local friends/family to share the 501st experience....
but something about burning copies of it seems....i dont know, counterproductive.
Shouldnt people want to purchase it to support the organisation they are a part of?
just my 2c
I agree with that. I think let's let the thread run its course, get a general opinion and go from there.

As far as I know, you are only allowed to make copies for personal use (back-ups etc.), so getting just paid for the CD and shipping is still an illegal distribution of someones copyrighted work.
I'm not gonna take a stand as to whether you should do it or not, or if FISD is ok with it being distributed through this forum though. :-)
Can't people just buy it? It's not THAT expensive... He he;-)
I'll take it to a vote in a poll above.
I'll be honest, I'd rather not do it if it's going to give me trouble in the long or short run...
-
Sounds like a cool initiative, but wouldn't you be violating some copyright laws by doing this?
Yeah I'm not sure, I thought that if I made money off of it, I wouldn't be allowed to distribute it. I don't know copyright law that well. I think that if I just send it out and I get the return on the cd and cost of shipping then they can still have it? Someone who knows, please chime in.
-
Hey guys, I figure I'll do a run of the cd's *burning copies* assuming that's ok with everyone else...speak up if that's a problem, if not I'll get it out to you guys that want to see HOEA *Heart of an empire*.
I'll do three for now, as that's how many cd's I have on hand. Then we'll have to wait till I get more.
Post your interest below. First three get it.

lol I have a huge roll of that screen extra as well. Whenever Steven runs out, ppl can hit me up as well. I have an absolute ton of it. Ive been giving it away for free, just the cost of mailing it ($2 or so, like Steven).
I also have a huge roll of the finer mesh as well...same deal!
Can I get both the plastic/finer mesh from you? I need a bunch

I'll be upgrading my TK belt to the cloth kind. I currently have the plastic FX belt (that I hate) but I have some questions...
First, the "rivet caps" on the end and the middle of the belt are molded into the belt design. How am I supposed to put the cloth belt on the abs part if I can't put these caps on the rivots to hide them as they are part of the mold itself?
Second, my belt is attached to the ab piece itself via what looks like a small screw or bolt or something (shrug). I'm not at my suit right now to look, but one on each end of the plastic belt holds each side in so it can pivot on that one bolt. Should I just cut the cloth belt so it attaches in a similar way so i dont have to deal with taking the belt off the ab piece?
Third, where do I get the metal clips for the thermal detonator as I'm only using velcro atm?
I didn't assemble my belt part (was done for me) so this is why I know so little about this area of the gear. If anyone knows what the heck I'm talking about, please help . I'll provide pics if I can tonight.
Thanks
Darryl

Hey Darryl,
My girlfriend and I are currently making the belts.
If you want, I'm doing belt assembly, so the first 5 guys on my list (interest list) are getting complete belt assembly free, eg: holster riveted on, belt front riveted on, thermal detonator attached to money clips, and belt assembled in canvas with elastic inset for sturdiness. After the 5 are done, I'm going to estimate charging 40-50 bucks for a completely assembled belt.
My girlfriend is estimating 15-20 bucks for the canvas belt, and because I love assembling armor, I just figured I'd start a belt assembly service if people buy the belts from us. If your interested, you'd basically cover shipping both ways, my house and yours, and ship me your holster, plastic belt, and drop boxes and thermal detonator. And I shall do it for you.
I'll show you a pic of my assembly when I get home later today.

I've got one that was made a long long time ago. In a galaxy far away, looks very similar to that, less detail though.
It's in kit form, never built it.
I like yours better.

I have a MR 212th clone bucket sitting on my table that I never use. If you send better pics I might be willing to trade. Need some better pics. you can pm me at interlinkindustries@yahoo.com
Thanks.
Keith, I recommend you put the money down for this helmet instead of my FX; and I'll sell that to someone else.
I put down the money for one of these, and never regretted it, and still don't. It's sitting in my room on my mannequin currently

Mind posting a pic of what they look like please?
- Fitz
Might already have them on hand...not sure what they look like though.
Edit, just saw the above, thanks. I do have them!
Although, could you post a pic of how they look like on the belt, screws, drop boxes, holster, and all?
