    And just think most people think all of us are single...

     

    My girlfriend looks at me like im am f-ing nuts and has told me she will just stay home when I troop, But she sat and looked at the 501st web site one night (I had no clue) and she came to me and asked me why I do it. The first thing I told her was "I do It for fun and I do I for the kids". I think it was the turing point for her. We now see eye to eye and the hole thing and she even has told me she would love to come and snap the pics at a troop. I still dont think she will be coming to any cons with me but she is defiantly on board for the hospital Troops.

    Sounds like you have a good plan going, and the first set will go well. The first time you put it all on and head out with some others you see a hole new world...

    Yeah, I went ahead and got the FX Lite kit. I am hoping to get an RT lid. If this first set goes well, I'll see about upgrading to a better suit later.

    Arthur, I dint think any of the tk's that post hear think ill of you I know i dont. But i do ask that you take some time to take a GOOD look around and see what makes up this GRATE site. I think if you sit down and take it all in you to will have the same respect for the people and things they wright and maybe you will under stand why we do and say the things we do. I for one will thank you for provoking thought proses and showing me I do love this board. I do respect all of its members and the things they say, that includes you.

    as i sit and read this i look back at my short time as tk6939 and say to my self if i only new... And I stop. No the time, hart, and money I have put in to my armor. the time i've spent digging around the board to learn about all the diff things not just makers of armor is why I am the tk I am. I have fx/ap and it ok, is it what I wont, no but spent a lot of time to find that out. If some one had just sold me the best set of armor rite off the bat I dont think I would be as in to the hole thing as i am.

    The other day one of people I hang out with asked "Why in the hek do you spend all that cash and waist all that time with that Star Wars $#@^." So I sed to him " When was the last time you put a grin on the face of every person you met, or made some kids day just by standing their. Or how many time have you and some of your friends stud out in the cold at a game store for most of a day because the oner is going to donate 10% of the days profit to a charity . I mask my voice, I cover my face, and I go by a number, so don't tell me I do it for the recognition." All he could say was I never thought about like that."

     

    And to you I say, I love my white plastic with all my hart and if I have to stand out in the cold in a spandex body suit and some disco boots to make just one little kids day I will do every weekend (plus it a hole lot of fun) and I know most if not all of the members of the FISD and the 501st feel the same way.

     

    If this is out of line or in the wrong spot mods you cam move it or delete it but thought i would share it.

    Oooo thank god he is sill putting them up for bid I missed out on the unfinished one and was kicking my self in the but. I'll have to jump on this on this one NOW to finish my anh helmet display. LOL

     

     

    "Made from a old original ANH helmet mold. I reshape and rebuild the entire mold because was in poor condition, so I was to make a new one in 90%. After many week of work, at last the new ANH mold was made."

    Be careful - this can be a bit of a myth (e.g. you need an FX to add vox + fans). I've seen several people get sound and fans in an ANH sized helmet and am going this route in all my ANH buckets with various set-ups. If you're 6'5+ I can see the logic, otherwise this can be a bit of a wives' tail.

    Amen.... I don't have a massive head (7") but i have a lot of stuff stuffed in my ap lid. the guts out of a radio shack amp, a trik toys voice mod board, radio shack tie mic, all running out of a set of stompers hovis . and I know I can get some of trik toys fans in it as well. So don't be so quick to think you have to have an fx to have all the goodies in it...
