Nassik Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 For your interest and consideration, SR Props (makers of a popular E-11 kit) have just completed work on a jawa ion blaster kit... After a couple of month's work and some refinement, the SR Props jawa blaster is complete. I just received pictures of the completed kit today. Let's take a look, shall we? Yes, I know that the thumbscrew on the barrel is usually on top instead of on the bottom. When you assemble this blaster you can have the thumbscrew on top easily enough. This kit was assembled this way for ease of holstering the blaster but you can assemble the kit the other way with ease (you can read about this in the assembly tutorial). You can see that the receiver bolt is functional and that the magazine can be removed for an added touch of realism. This close-up reveals the fine details in this kit. Here you can see the slight imperfections in the woodwork as well as the engraving found on the original Lee-Enfield rifle that this kit was molded from. Bear in mind that these kits are made completely from molded plastic and, like the SR Props E-11, these kits are hollow upon assembly so that you can add a light and sound module to them if you desire. They are cast exactly as these pictures show... there is no painting required (what you see is exactly what you'll get). To view the kit and its assembly instructions you can visit the SR Props main website: SR Props From there you can navigate to the kits section and from there click on the jawa blaster. Once there, you can click on the assembly instructions and you can see the full assembly of the kit. I posted a little more information on this kit in the Project run forum (price, contact info, etc.) but I'm also putting information here just to bring it to the attention of folks that don't frequent the sale forums. I'm not an SR Props employee. I just happen to be a fan of their work. Quote
