TK-2886 Requesting EIB ANH Hero.[87][AP]

Recommended Posts

Just got my TK number hot off the press (TK-2886), so now I'm ready to apply for EIB! I've been researching and planning EIB requirements for quite some time, so hopefully I'll pass!

I was hoping to get everything completed in time so that I could be the 86th EIB TK, but maybe I'll end up as 88? I lost count!

Anyways, here goes!

Looking good! Great to see you finally finished. The only thing that I know of is that you have not requested 501st status, I could be wrong but I think you want to do this ASAP! Good luck with your EIB!

Great hero helmet and armor, Terry! I already see you joining the ranks, nothing seems to be missing.

You wrote "trooping blaster", does that mean you also have another one for display?

Looking great Terry! Can we see the split butt plate? :)

Cheers! :D

No problem Aaron, the head to toe pics don't show the separation clearly. I've added 2 pictures in the first post that show the separate kidney / butt plates. Let me know if that's OK.

Thanks!

Thanks for the support guys! Glad you like the finished look, couldn't have done it without all the great support here. :)

Dennis, I just use a modified Hasbro for now - intended for trooping use. I'm not going to freak out if it gets dinged or damaged or if I let a kid play with it, I won't be bummed if it gets dropped because it's sturdy.

I've got an idea for another blaster that I might work on. You'll have to wait and see! :)

Wow Terry - this is a beautiful set up. The details you and the other new EIB are bringing to the table put us older guys to shame ;-)

Terrell will have the final word as always, but I think you're ready for boarding party duty myself :)

Excellent, so excited guys! Thanks everyone, I finally made it! This has been a dream come true since I was a 7 year old kid. I'm going to have to see if my family has that picture of me in primary school with my home made helmet. :)

If I only knew then what I know now... :)

Thanks guys!

EIB applicants are making my job pretty easy these days. EIB approved, nice job trooper.

Although you're further behind in updating photos on the EIB members page ;-)

Well done Terry and welcome.... :)

Suit looks good on you buddy.... it hangs well and fits like a glove.....

How are you finding wearing the hero lenses? Do you get much distortion?

Thanks guys! Yeah, hero lenses aren’t all they’re made to be.  I might swap them out for flat smoke ones for trooping. The bubble ones are really distorted vision wise. I tried to find some thinner ones like the ones that come with FX, etc.. but I couldn’t find any. I had to get some off “the bay” and they really nicely shaped, smoke color and thicker plastic. But just too distorted vision wise for trooping.

I have bubble lens from ebay and I think that the distortion is actually like looking through a "rear view" mirror and it actually offers

you a wide angle of view.

on my ESB I'm going for flat green.
