NEW boot source!

Recommended Posts

if your feet are small enough to fit a 8 or a 9 then maybe these boots could be ok to use with just a small amount of painting to do to them etc. until you can get your hands on a pare of TK one's.

just a thought...

Hi all,

From what I can gather here, CABoots is not recommended (innacurate and expensive).

As for TKBoots, he is almost out of sizes. I wear size 8 1/2 Pumas. What would be the best size from TKBoots?

thanks all

Are these accurate?

Are these accurate?

Looks like it, but they only go up to womens size 9, and more importantly, they are made of plastic through and through, probably won't last, and I doubt they are comfortable to wear...just my 2 cents...

Pumas are pretty legit. I have some brown suede romas that have lasted since 2006! I contacted TK Boots back in July and August--quoted 6 weeks both times. Inventory issues I suppose =/

Wish there were another source. It's not very fashionable to be sporting my Nike golf shoes w/ my suit

These Landsend Boots seem pretty close to the CRL in both Style and Shape. http://www.landsend.com/products/school-uniform-mens-fulton-chelsea-boots/id_242654  You have to paint them with leather paint or spray paint.  But thats not a difficult task just mask the soles and paint the rest.  I just got a pair from here and picked up some leather paint from Angelus http://angelusdirect.com/pages/faq.   You can also by prep and finisher from them.  takes about 4 oz.  of paint to do a pair of boots with a little left over after 2 to 3 light coats.  and they will look pretty realistic. There are some good boot painting and weathering tips over at MEPD.net  All the Sandtroopers are pretty good with painting and weathering as most of their gear requires it.
