Runnriottt
I like that one. In the real life military its always better to get silver over gold. Higher Rank... Either way, great program and great looking stuff.
dougefresh
I like that one too. Less gaudy-- more refined looking. I dig it.
tatooine
Hey I like that silver color scheme too! I just kinda screams 'Star Wars' to me. The final revisions shown with the center blue stripe whether silver or maroon are all really nice though.

synaptyx
The ribbon is sweet! How did you achieve that? The medal looks like plastic now, tho.
Dmian
The ribbon is sweet! How did you achieve that? The medal looks like plastic now, tho. Yes, you're right, too much chrome effect... To make the ribbon: - Give a small pillow emboss to the ribbon layer (color layer,) to give it some border. - Create a new layer, with the same shape as the ribbon, but in white. - Fill the shape with 4px black & white horizontal stripes (2px white, 2px black.) - Add some monochromatic uniform noise (not too much, 5% will do.) - Blend with the color ribbon layer at 75% opacity using "multiply". - Create a new layer. Make a 4px high white to black linear horizontal gradient. - Repeat as a pattern vertically and mask to match the ribbon layer. - Blend with the other two layers using "soft light" and 35% opacity. That's it.

Knighthawk
My .02 cents. I like both medals. Heres a though. The maroon medal could be a Commendation Medal, and the grey/blue could be a Service Medal. Another thought too, design a medals and ribbons to represent Cons you have trooped. Add Oak leaf clusters for second awards. Each Con would be a different medal. Many civilian non profit organizations offer medals to members for their dedication too the organization. For instance, In US; VFW, American Legion, and onorable Order of Kentucky Colonels award medals to members and civilians.
Knighthawk
Just curious, will a certificate be designed and awarded too the recipient of the badge and medal?
