First, the "Behind the Scenes" - kind of...

I've already shown off the blaster:

And made some additions:

And now... Presenting my daughter, the Foamtrooper!

The Patriot:

The envy of every TK:

And finally, size matters not:

She was a real trooper (no pun intended... ok, maybe just a little bit), and stayed in the armor for about three hours. I think she was enjoying it too :) . She had never been in full armor before, and while helpful as I was measuring and putting the suit together, she never held still long enough for me to try the whole thing on her. The crowd seemed to really dig her, and my little ham knows how to please a crowd!

That is incredible- I love it! Youo have got to be the best Dad in the world!!!

I need to show that to a friend of mine Steve in the UKG whose son would look awesome in something like that!

How adorable is that!

Nice job, Dad. Kudos to the missus for allowing you to dress her up as a mini-TK.

Cheers all for the kind words. Mom is truly tolerant to let her little girl get dressed up like this, and the baby was a good sport humoring Dad!

I saw this in person yesterday and it's even more impressive in the flesh. The joke was that aside from the spit back plate, the armor was 100% EIB ready to rock, and was more accurate than most 501st members. :D

Truly an outstanding job Clay. Kudos also to your wife for being gracious enough to let you do this. Sophia really was the belle of the parade, garnering most of the cheers I think. :salute:

"aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?"

Seriously, that is the coolest thing I have seen in a long time. You have some great skills at crafting that suit.

You've got some mad foam skills there! Congrats on having a daughter who is willing to wear that. There are some kids that age, who's personality would never work with wearing armor like that. You're a lucky guy!

I basically used the tutorial on TK-409's page: http://www.tk409.com/tk409.html for the helmet.

I ordered the Rubies 3/4 mask off the internet (don't remember where, but it was the cheapest) and found a police riot helmet with a green face shield at a party store. The rest of the helmet is craft foam and a white florist ring from Jo-Ann.
