gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted May 29 Report Posted May 29 Hello and welcome, I would stay off Etsy. Finding a costume comes with a lot of research, these threads will help you on your way You can also take a look at others builds, great to see how things are put together https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/31-costuming-and-builds-original-trilogy-and-anthology501st-approved/ 2 Quote
themaninthesuitcase[Admin] Posted June 1 Report Posted June 1 Welcome to the FISD, start by reading and asking questions. Mistakes can be expensive and are usually easily avoided with a couple of question. 2 Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted June 2 Report Posted June 2 Welcome Yonatan, This hobby is expensive when you get it right, even worse if you get it wrong so the advice above is very important. This group is founded on research and 1000's of members putting in time searching, questioning and learning from each other. Take that experience and leverage it as much as possible. We are here to help in every way we can and get you to the finish line. 2 Quote
Sanddweller Posted June 2 Author Report Posted June 2 So did a bit of my research (and also a Lil help from my outpost's GCO, and considering my inexperience he recommended me to go for rspropmasters since its a ready to go armor and all that and also sent me a few other things Now the thing is I wanna go for a sandtrooper and while rspropmasters has it, its missing the backpack so I gotta source that elsewhere on top of the other things (like a blaster Balaclava and the black clothes underneath) im aware (at least according to my GCO) that the blaster is optional but I prefer going for the full thing even if it means spending the extra money Quote
Sanddweller Posted June 2 Author Report Posted June 2 Also id appreciate if anyone can suggest me a reputable seller for a DLT-19 or a backpack for the sandtrooper Quote

Sanddweller Posted June 2 Author Report Posted June 2 I see, thanks for the info have a great day Quote
ukswrath[Staff] Posted June 2 Report Posted June 2 Welcome to the FISD. Sandtrooper is an excellent choice. As Glen mentioned the MEPD is the destination. Here on Whitearmor you'll find more building experience than anywhere esle in the world in my opinion. That said, your Sadtrooper will require weathering, this is where the MEPD shines. Goods news is both detachments have stomtroopers with both armors. There's plenty of us Sandtroopers here as well. Ask as many questions as you can muster. There's no shortage of answers here. Good luck. Looking forward to seeing your finished armor. Quote
Shanester[TK] Posted June 2 Report Posted June 2 Welcome aboard. Coming here for help is a really good first step. Good luck! Quote
Sanddweller Posted Thursday at 07:05 AM Author Report Posted Thursday at 07:05 AM One last thing, does it usually take 2 something days for the MEPD to approve an account? Im still waiting on approval Quote

Im still waiting on approval Yes it can sometimes. Everyone is a volunteer in this hobby and has day jobs, so there isn't a high expectation that everyone will be online every day. Hopefully they approve you soon. Quote
