ROTJ bucket from LFL molds

Recommended Posts

I recently was able to get a ROTJ style helmet that was made from LFL molds for Don Post Studios. It was used as a reference piece for the Deluxe line of Star Wars helmets that Don Post did.

It was made in 1995. :)

Edit - This is more representative of the ANH Special Edition helmets, which makes sense given it's construction date.

That was the sound of my jaw dropping. What a find! Has anyone brought up doing a run of these? There aren't a lot of ROTJ stormtroopers out there, but this would certainly be the bucket to get if you ever did one.

I don't know if I'm old enough to hear about things like that. :D But babies of that helmet would be great.

It's a fantastic contribution to the world of stormtroopers. ROTJ configurations are pretty rare - I'm sure this will help convince some to take the plunge :)

Yes, being an ANH trooper is getting to be too trendy for my taste :D , and it would be cool to have all three original trilogy TK impressions :duim:

Not to pee in anyones cheerios, but the helmet is NOT an rotj helmet. It is in fact a tour helmet that was molded from an rotj one. The main differences in this are that the ears are completely remade from scratch and the cap and back was majorly smoothed out as well. I think what makes this cool is that it is an SE helemt and actually is more ANH than anything else since this same type was used in the added sandtrooper scenes. Regardless, this is one cool thing-a-ma-jigger!
