[5] 12/11/2022  From 1100 - 1600.    Fundraiser event to benefit St. Jude ($2,208 raised) in coordination with Pottery Barn's Kids in La Jolla.

Stood outside, waved and took tons of photos with people as they passed by.   Felt great to be a part of something such as this cause.

Troop/Mission Report:

[6] 1/28/2023 At request for a Navy Military Retirement in La Mesa, CA, escorted the retiring Veteran down the aisle and stayed after for photo ops.   Fun troop that also sparked some interest/501st recruiting opportunity!   As a Veteran myself, this was such a joy and honor to participate!

[7] 5/6/2023 Star Wars Day Celebration at College-Rolando Library with the Imperial Sands Garrison.   As guests finished watching A New Hope film, they were greeted (or interrogated in this case) by our members including a few of us TKs!

Also as seen below, we were able to complete our annual TK compliance training for the Empire. :laugh1:

My second troop is going to be a library one too so that should be interesting.  Any tips?  Bart

Nice!  I like to stand as "security" for entering patrons.  "Checking for identification"  "Move along". that sort of thing if you have an icomm.  I will not troop without my icomm (its gold!).    Good indoor troop so have fun with it.

Oh perfect.  Thanks!  I think it is 2 or 3 hours so finding things to do was going to be tough.  We're going to have a rebel there too, Obi-Wan so I'm hoping we can have some interaction with the kids too if we can plan it out a bit before hand.

My icomm is on the fritz so just the amp but I will make do.  Hopefully it is repaired and returned to me sooner than later.

[10] 8/19/2023  Salute to Military Heroes took place at Liberty Station in San Diego.   Included Imperial Sands Garrison and MandoMercs local clan.   Call time was at 9 am with the troop from 10 am to 1pm.   We had a large number of TKs present which made it that much more fun!   Well over 400 people (primarily families) came out to this event that had food, games, and prizes for many who could attend.   This turned out to be a wonderful event with many photo opportunities for kids and adults.
