Tom’s ANH STUNT TK WIP

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, my BBB day come and gone. Finally had a chance to suit up. Went for a commission build from TM as I am not very skilled at building things. I would like to take this armour to centurion level further down the road. Looking forward to serving the Empire, if any armourers could guide me along the way so I can get ready for clearance , f6b5844af8c982d0214631560b0fd3f9.jpg

very much appreciated,

Looking good Tom!!! Welcome to the Empire. :smiley-sw013:

The one thing that stuck out to me was the Thermal Detonator. Your O is pointing towards noon, or maybe even a little past. The O should be more visible. The TD can also be a bit more centered on your belt.

(images borrowed from @gmrhodes13 who shared the same advice with me in my own build thread. )

I literally unrolled mine a little bit to get the O at the correct rotation. Very easy to do.

Looking good, should be fine for basic approval, as always that is up to your GML (garrison membership liaison) ;)

If aiming for higher levels be aware of that your sides of the ab and kidney looked stepped in this image and should be level.

For L3 you will need to fill the shim seams on both sides.

Shim on your right side is overlapping

Ear screws are protruding and should be counter sunk

Using a bigger drill bit by hand you can removes some of the plastic

Backplate over lapping kidney on rear

To be picky the belt could come down a little at the front, L3

  • The top of the ABS ammo belt should sit at or just above the bottom of the central and vertical abdomen button panels.

Hope to see you approved soon and submitting for higher levels, good luck

How can I post in sounding off now Trooper have my TK NUMBER
would like to post, if anyone could help.
Kind regards Tom.

You won't be able too unless you are legion approved, more info here https://www.501st.com/members/join_form.php

Once you have an approved legion costume you can then request higher access to this forum and then would be able to post in that area.

Lookin' sharp, sir!  While not a requirement for Expert Infantry, it is for Centurion (which I hope you will be aiming for) ;).  Even if you don't want to submit for Level 3, countersinking those ear screws (yes, all 6) is one of those tiny things that not only looks better, but will give your bucket a more screen accurate look.  As shown in the pics it's super easy to do, but be VERY careful not to drill out too much.  Use a slow speed, and you probably only need one or two rotations with the bit to get the depth you want.
