AM Armor 2.0 ANH Build (1st time TK Builder)

Yup, the ribbed shoulder 'covers' that attach to the chest plate, whatever you want to call them. Reinforce them. They're one of the weakest points on the armor and very prone to cracking. I usually just run a same-width strip of pre-bent ABS sheet glued under each one. Does wonders. You can see towards the top right of this photo, sorry I don't have a closeup handy.

I got it now. Makes sense. Thanks for the tip.

TK undergarment

Looking at undergarments on Amazon. Here are a few I have found. Let me know what will and won’t work.

These seem to have a slight pattern at the waist.

I got a 3 pack of these from Amazon and like them. Good compression, good price. Currently on cyber monday deal.

For pants, I hit Dick's Sporting Goods and got their house brand. It has a pocket on the left thigh spaced perfectly to hide under your thigh armor. I can keep and retrieve a phone from there. The holster hides it perfectly. DSG house brand compression pants. They come in both regular and cold weather.

Does the logo cause an issue?

Most logos will come off with a bit of acetone and careful work with a rag, I did that on mine and suffered no discoloration of the shirt or pants.

I use the DrSkin brand off Amazon.

Shirt: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N6WZW3W/

Pants: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RMG3020/

The X pattern stitching on the side of the pants is hidden by the thigh armor. Since I use a thigh garter belt setup, it covers the writing on the waistband (which doesn't come off). Even if you're not using a belt it's not a problem, it's hidden under the armor.

As I start to outfit my bucket, I find that it’s a tight squeeze. Looking for tips on how/where to put the electronics in the helmet. I have the UKSWRATH ICOMM in helmet audio and his 4 fan system. I am probably going with the hard hat insert.

Let me know when you get them and how they turned out.

The boots arrived from Crowprops today. So it took about a month to get them from when I ordered them. They fit amazing and look great.

That’s awesome. I ordered a pair from his black weekend sale. Hoping to hear something soon.

Alright trooper, get some gaffer tape and start suiting up. AM is a great kit, you can do this!

AJ has a great build thread

I used Seans when I was building

And here is my build

Looks like Lou beat me to mentioning AJ’s AM build thread. I particularly love the imagery AJ documented. The resource compilation thread that Glen mentioned is also a good one. ;-)
