Nice work,

You may also need to provide a few more photos

Inside connectors on your thigh ammo strip rivets

Also the DO's like to see both sides and front of the sniper plate

One thing you could do for accuracy would be to move your TD screws, also the end of the brackets next to the panel do not get rounded corners, but not a requirement ;)

You know, I literally took those extra photos and was like "Nahhh, I won't need em... You can see it's glued..." hahaha Added the above!

I appreciate the keen eye and suggestions! Thank you!

I would mess with the TD clips (they're just the stock Anovos), but I don't want to make any permanent changes to the base suit, as it was screen-used (and may be worth something, unmodified?).

Just finished watching Gallery and now rewatching Mando for the third time. Are you able to pick yourself out of the TK crowd in that aerial perspective above the TIE fighter?

If it ends up being a dealbreaker at L3, I'll find another TD to use, but I appreciate the keen eye and suggestion! Thank you!

Thank you for adding those extra photos Justin :jc_doublethumbup:  even thought we can actually  see some aspects from a general photo, It's better to have the detail close image for registry, suggestions ,future references , and for my old eyes :laugh1:.

For the TD clips , they are not a L3 blocker,  you will see it just as suggestion.

Cheers :salute:

Hard to say for sure because our time in those two episodes was split over three days and we moved around quite a bit. I THINKKKK in that shot, I'm this guy? I remember having to step out of the way when Giancarlo walked up, then filled back in behind him. And honestly, I think it's good that I have such a hard time picking myself out. The troopers that stuck out usually weren't for good reasons - we should all just blend and look the same in armor!

I know for sure that's me in the balaclava on the right in Episode 3 tho ;)

Hi Justin, I'm working on your request for EIB and before we can move on with your review, a quick fix to your right thigh front cover strip is needed.

Crl for Basic Level states:

Thigh Armor :  Cover strip must end at the top of lower ridge in front and back.

It looks like your right thigh front cover strip end exceeds the lower ridge. easy fix.

Hey Mario,

It ends above the ridge, JUST below what's visible - you can see I have the ammo pack tilted up a little to help it not catch on my shin and that's just barely covering it. But that knee ammo pack is glued on there pretty good and covered in cracks, so it's not coming off...

I would suggest making the appearance match the other leg as you have taken off the edges on the other thigh cover strip and it is also sitting above the angle ridges.

Hi Justin, I would suggest , for  ensure the best look to your L2  ESB TK  , (the same Glen has pointed),  to just make a cut to match the left one.

Thank you mate.

In the words of Eric from That '70s Show, and the forum signature of our Founder...

"I guess I never realized how seriously I take imaginary ranks assigned by [my] friends..." lol

Thanks man. This won't be the last EIB app you see from me or one of my Mentees. Let's get this knocked out! Let me know if you need to see anything else.

That’s dedication man. If you ever sell your screen-used kit, you don’t have to mention the shaving of half a cm off the strip. ;-) Or you can keep it and claim having one of 25-30 Mando non-LFL studio suits.

By the way, someday when I get my EIB I’ll consider myself as having been one of your mentees. Too bad I can’t help you out with your Armorer badge; hopping onto I-40 and driving 2,000 miles west would simply be a bit much.

I doubt I'll ever actually sell it, but it did hurt a little to do. I keep switching between "I just don't care anymore" and "I will jump through whatever hoops I need to finish L3 out". It's just armor and it's just Star Wars. Whatever lol

Happy to have helped you out and appreciate the kind words! Armorer would be cool, but is what it is as well - I'll get there some day. Only thing as nice as getting awards and approvals myself is helping others get em as well!

I probably just cost myself some money in the future. Oh well. You're not wrong and it's more accurate now.

I doubt it

Out of interest I went back through and checked your ANH EIB and Centurion app's and it had been missed if it hadn't you would have had to change it back then ;)

Hi Justin, and thank you for your EIB application!

CRL and EIB Application Requirements:

All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry.  Congratulations!  :salute:

Other-Armor Fit/Assembly;

In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armour.

Another EIB star for you mate!! Well done.  It's always great to follow one of your build threads.

ok, Let's start from Helmet

1- Mine is an Anovos helmet  too and due to they come pre assembled it's not easy to correct the ears screws alignment, It's mentioned here for you to consider for a future fix.

                                                                                                                                 Reference Images

  5KVVyYt.jpg                                                   MY6Ib8l.jpg     ay4GDhi.jpg?1

2-  Carefully removing  a bit paint   to the vocoder  will make your helmet to look finest.

                                                                                                                                                                Reference Images

GenP0T0.jpg         VW9l6sB.jpg?1    yYCzq1u.jpg?1

3- A few issues with your arms that should be pretty straightforward to fix with some strapping adjustments.  You have quite a gap between the end of the forearm and hand guards, dropping the biceps and forearms an inch or so would greatly reduce that and will give you that cool ESB Look .

                                                                                                                                                               Reference Images

bx2d2hm.jpg?1          6k9JQzS.jpg   QHlp6O9.jpg?2

4- Ideally, the screws of the Thermal detonator sit closer to the end of the clips. This is not a big deal and  would involve  trimming or replacing the clips. We consider it's worth mentioning.

                                                                                                                                                         Reference Images

cmxPRu7.jpg?1                    I2yjVji.png?1

6- We noticed that your left thigh is a bit higher than the right one and thsi is causing an overlapping to your lower armor section. loosing a bit yor thight strap would help to release these issue.

                                                                                                                                                             Reference Images

jCkZ9AZ.jpg?1          3HDW6Un.jpg?2                1sCRWzF.jpg

6- Your lower armor section is tending to raise and as noted before it's overlapping your thigh. You may want to check the strapping that attaches the butt plate to the kidney plate, looks like that could be readjusted and tightened up a bit to allow the armor to sit better

                                                                                                                                      Reference Images

Ay4mAbW.jpg?1             lC4gSOk.jpg    UcV8gpG.jpg?1

                                                                                   ***************************************************

Centurion Requirements;

In this section we prepare you for Centurion.  Because Centurion photos show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper.

1- CRL L3: There should be a minimal gap between the shoulder armor and the chest/back plates.

As the CRL  states for level 3 , there should be minimal space between the shoulder bells and the chest armor.   (Although not specifically mentioned), the tops of the shoulder bells should touch (or be very close to) the shoulder bridges.  In your case it seems that it is a matter of shortening the elastics of the connection between these.  Also, you can trim all the return edges from the bottoms of the Shoulder Bells to have more room.

                                                                                                                                                                Reference Images

gXCJ0Lz.jpg?1   hKOW56Y.jpg?1

2 CRL L3: Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. Abdominal and Kidney Plate align horizontally at top.

This is just dressing issues that can be easily fixed with a straps adjustment in both sides to align and close tha gaps.

                                                                                                                                                                          Reference Images

    7tvYJoM.jpg?3   cNTPCGK.jpg?2                UdZtGus.jpg?1 WdTYvjl.jpg?1

3- Even though your blaster is ESB correct one,  We found that for some reason the cocking handle was removed. For level 3 you will need to add it or replace the blaster.

                                                                                                                                                                 Reference Images

eWZZAee.jpg      YI98YfU.jpg?1    QrBD39I.jpg?1

                                                                                   ***************************************************

And that's all Justin. congratulations again and we are complete sure that you can go the next mile for the highest level . :salute:
