F-11D (The Imperial Factory, 5th Horseman files) and with BlastFx

Recommended Posts

After building the fantastic SE44C from Imperial Factory with 5th Horseman files, had to get the F-11D version.

As I want to use the BlastFx, I will deviate and include the screen on the counter. Figure I can overlay with a blank later, but it is too cool not to include it (I have one on my E-11).

Here are the parts after cleaning (you dont need to sand anything!).

First coat of primer. Will have to assemble in order to fit the electronics, then disassemble for painting.

Assembled the main components so I can figure out where to place everything. Only a few pieces glued, the rest are screwed together.

I like how the barrel can be removed for easy access

Need to make the trigger functional, will have to make my own spring

Will place the screen and wiring in the scope, possibly will need to cut it at the bracket

Look at the thickness of the walls, this blaster feels as if it was real.

Will have to route wires through the mounting block

Lookout great, Lou! Someday when I'm done with my TK, HWT, and T-21 builds I'd like to do one of these 5th Horsemen blasters. That and some Mando stuff. Goodness my to-do list is long. Looking forward to seeing your final product!

Started with the scope. Switch will be on the top, so had to cut the scope in the middle.

Wanted to drill out the holes so I had an option to see red light (very small amount), not cannon but cool and can turn on/off as needed.

Finally getting some time to work on this, but now at the painting phase and white seems to take forever to cure. Wasn't too happy with the chrome I used on the other blaster, so this time base coat of black.

Thanks Christine! Any link to the reference, could use that to confirm the rest of the build (looks like 3d printing).

Still plugging away between work and home projects.

Got the speaker to sit in the breech and point forward

Order came in, now I can extend the wires. Started the painting process, everything has one coat but the white takes forever to cure. Once I finish the final wiring, I will break it down and put on a finish coat.

Sure! That came from @The5thHorseman F-11D 3D print build PDF.  He is a stickler for accuracy.

Trust Germain, you must!

Working on the red lights. Made boxes out of scrap plastic, lined the inside with aluminum foil.

The led is red and the foil helps diffuse the light. Had to buy a sheet of red plastic (12 X 12) as that was the smallest size.

The counter box

This is just a test fit, the led is too far in the center in this shot

Next up is the trigger.

Wiring the switch, had to make sure it didn't interfere with the spring. Went for a 1/4 inch pull to activate.

Wiring goes out the top

Also worked on the front light switch. While this is manual turn on/off, in the future I will wire it up with a momentary switch.

Well, looks like I need to update this build thread. Currently working on a heavy F-11D so I will post that as well.

When it comes to paint on the rear sight make sure you paint it white not black like the STD F-11D ;)
