Hi Trooper, You have done a great work fixing your armor!.

For your thighs to go up I would suggest to trim a little the upper section of each one so you can adjust to have a better fit.

Good luck with your application and hope to see your TK ID soon.

Cheers

Thank you have decided to to do 10mm off the thighs and 5mm off the shins for a better fit and make the gap between sniper knee and thigh

Did some improvements this morning getting closer and closer to completion for my next approval photos have managed to get my sniper knee from what it looked like in my first photos to this by cutting 10 mm off my thigh

0d62568ca489907fa776a91bbec3ee0d.jpg

As well as get rid of the cream off white colour screws to this nice white

As well as some cleaning up of cover strips

You can clean up the top of the biceps by removing the return edge, also the smaller they are the easier it is to close gap between bell and chest.

Drop box alignment is what stand out to me. Shift the drop box elastic outward until the outside of the boxes are aligned with the edge of the plastic belt, then pull them up until they basically touch the bottom of the plastic belt. Glue the elastic in place to the canvas belt and they will never shift out of place.

Just so you know, the shins are not assembled correctly. You have put both outer halves together and both inner halves together. It doesn't really any difference but they are not assembled as intended.

I believe these are correct?

Things are looking much better, sir!  Although it won't affect basic 501st approval, 2 simple items would be to cut down the sides of the posterior plate.  It looks as if those sharp points could poke into you or snag your under suit.  The other is the one Jay mentioned about the drop boxes.  Both easy fixes!

Incorrect.

You have the inner left as your outer right but the inner right is the correct part.

Your left shin is made up of the outer right and outer left.

Yeap you’re right when I go for higher levels I will most likely redo the shins so they are how they are meant to be.

:jc_doublethumbup:  GREAT to hear!

Eventually you may want to trim down the return edge(s) under your thigh bottoms, Nadas, which will give you a bit more room,  Also, at some point before you submit for Centurion level you will need to either fill in the gaps with ABS paste, or glue a piece of white ABS behind them (easier).  Keep up the great work!

UPDATE submitted my second approval haven’t heard anything back but have found issues with my armour since then so will be redoing them. I have my strapping system in the wrong positions(front straps were on the back vice versa) I have also started to add sponge to stop my biceps and forearms rotating so much also fixed the strapping on my butt plate so it doesn’t poke up

A little foam can make a lot of difference, good luck with approval

I got a lot of my issues from last time fixed but I had my hand guards backwards notice after I sent the email. Also my butt plate was sticking out to much I believe so I’ve fixed that.

May want to have a look at the drop boxes too, they should align with the end of the plastic belt section and just a few mm's gap between them and the belt ;)

Even for basic your GML may require the adjustment ;)

Hi Nada, you got this, hopefully your armour is assembled using E6000 so things can be pulled apart and re stuck.
You have some good help here and also some very good local help in the Southern Cross Garrison. We are all here to assist however we can.
