TheSwede[TK]
Hi Ian and thank you for your TLJ EIB application. You have a nice looking set of armor there With that said there a few things needed before we can proceed. 1# Your TD seem to be of a TFA style and not the TLJ. 2# I need a close up of your forearms to confirm that the third retaining button (the one closest to the elbow) is grey, painted or a decal. 3# Some missing photos: Full body - Left/right arms raised. Left/right side detail, arms raised. Helmet - front/left/right/back. Neckseal. Interior strapping. Thanks

Regarding the TD we had a long discussion whilst I was building the armour. I found pictures from TLJ of the TD you have shown and ones like I’ve made. It was decided by my armourer in the UKG and the GML’s that both had been used but the one I’ve eventually done was to be the main one for clearance. ( wasn’t my decision and no idea why one was chosen over the other) I’m more than happy to repaint it if necessary.Thank you for picking my request up so quickly! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Did you build it some time ago? The CRL model is actually waering the incorrect TFA TD and that´s unfortunate but if you scroll down the correct TD is shown, maybe that was throwing you off as well. The CRLs are going through updates and new models are in progress but it takes time I´m afraid. Now, on the specific TD I think people use the cap of a spray can to modify it as it´s supposed to extend much further then the TFA one, hope that helps

I’m going to repaint it to the all black version so that won’t take me long at all.Thank you for your help. It also needs to extend further from the detonator than the TFA version. If you use the image I provided as a template you´re all good
gmrhodes13[Staff]
Nice work, A couple of things to really make you look the part: You could add some shoulder tabs to keep your shoulder bells sitting at the same height of your yoke Also you have quite a large gap on the outside of your shin You could also add some foam on the insides of your shins to help them align with the thighs, they are a little offset as you can see, not aligning with knee armor or thighs below You are also showing big gap behind the TD plate. Also butt plate is angled backwards, not sure if you could use some tighter strapping to help pull it in. Also from the chest to yoke For L2 you also need the correct style cod section (note image in the CRL is TFA): TLJ correct cod is required. Notice they are a lot straighter on the sides in the below image Stellar work, good luck with approval.
Sly11[Admin]
Hi Ian, you look great, but I would like to resonate what has already been mentioned. Most look like basic dressing issues which should be very easy fixes.I believe there are 3D files available to print a replacement cod piece, if I can remember where I saw this, I’ll let you know, or perhaps fashion one from ABS yourself as Glen did.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tech2063[TK]
Thanks for all the feedback folks, I’ll look at doing another cod. The legs are a no go area as that’s the actual shape of my legs (they don’t line up with my thighs) as I said I’ve had some serious knee injuries and as a result my lower legs are a bit ‘odd’ The shin closure has since these pictures been reversed so the closure is on the inside so much neater to the outer edge. I’ll post some pics soon as I’m having another kit up this week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tech2063[TK]
Quick update, I’ve improved the TD (I think!) also the wrist armour as requested. I’m doing a full kit up at my buddy’s tomorrow so I’ll do all the others then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tech2063[TK]
I’ve also made a template for the TLJ cod. Any thoughts before I cut it out and shape it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
TheSwede[TK]
Hi Ian Forearms - check! TD: Trim down the end cap to match visual reference. Remove that small black line on the TD, the recess is to be white. Take a side photo as there also need to be a small section of black around the base of the left extended cap as seen below. Cod: Here´s a nice reference image from a Centurion approved TLJ. Keep going Ian - you got this
Tech2063[TK]
Ok at least I’m on the right track now! Just double check me on the additional black line are you referring to where the end cap sits against the main body of the TD?Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Tech2063[TK]
Hi all, apologies for the delays but sadly I lost my dad to cancer so everything has taken a backwards move. But I’m back now! As a start I’ve finished the TD. As requested I’ve changed the end cap, removed the thin black stripe and I’ve also added the black line around the body where the end cap sits (Couldnt get a decent pic of that bit but it is there!) Question for you folks, I’ve seen some forearm armour with what looks like a hex drive bolt in place of the grey spot, is this accurate as well.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Tech2063[TK]
Ignore the scuffing around the top edge it’s where it gets covered by my back/chest armour and isn’t seen.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Tech2063[TK]
I’ve still got the cod to build but I’ll get onto that soon.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
