Hi Peter! Thank you for your submission!

Could you please include a couple more photos:

* The inside of the thigh ammo pack connection (just to verify the type of fastener)

* The D-ring on the rear of your blaster A photo of the rear of your blaster showing *no* D-ring mount.

Thank you!

Yea, those are the only 2 things i saw as well. You are well on your way.

Finish line is right there.

Good Luck on your approval.

I believe that is a RS-Propmaster ESB stunt/promo E-11, there is no D-ring on it what so ever.

You are totally right! In this case then having a clear shot of the rear showing no D-ring mount should be included. I'll update my original post.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your application and for providing the additional photos. Your armor fits you great, and you have the good fortune of being exactly the same height as the on-screen troopers!

CRL and EIB Application Requirements

All required photos are now in and, after review, we are pleased to welcome you to Expert Infantry rank. On behalf of the DO team and myself, many congratulations! :duim:

Other-Armor Fit/Assembly

In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor.

Note that in this review I will do my best to use ESB troopers as reference images, but since ESB armor was mostly re-used ANH armor, I will be using some ANH reference images.

Starting from the top, although there was a lot of variation in brow height, the ESB troopers tended to have a bit of white showing under the brow, so we're suggesting you raise it a bit.

Additionally, in the screen-used helmets, the ears tended to be tilted to match the alignment of the edge of the trap, while yours are sitting much more vertical. If it's possible to correct the position without damaging the helmet, we're suggestion you do so.

Moving down, this is definitely just a dressing issue, but your undersuit is sticking out a bit from your chest armor. So when you get dressed for troops, just have a handler take a quick look and make sure it's tucked in to keep your look clean.

One other thing I noticed in your photos is that your suit is developing some cracks at the return edges. While this is certainly screen accurate, I just wanted to call them out to remind you to repair them sooner rather than later so that they don't start to spread. You can drill a small hole at the end of the crack to stop it from growing, back it with a small bit of ABS or a small piece of t-shirt soaked in superglue, then fill the crack with ABS paste and sand it smooth.

Continuing on, your back plate is barely overlapping the kidney. This is so minor it may just be a matter of how you happened to be standing when the photos were taken, or you might consider shortening the elastic connecting the chest and back just a tad, or even placing very thin foam at your shoulders so the back piece sits a touch higher.

Moving along, your posterior armor is sticking out a bit. From the back you can see that the posterior is a bit wide on you, so it could just be a matter of heat bending (with a hot water bath or carefully with a heat gun) the plastic to wrap around your body better, or adding/tightening the strapping on the sides of the posterior piece.

Continuing with the lower limbs, your thighs are sitting a bit low. While ideally there would be minimal black showing, if there are gaps in the armor, it cleans up the look to at least even out the gaps. So we're suggesting that you shorten the strapping holding up the thigh pieces a bit to get them to sit higher. You may also be able to close the gap by just rotating your thighs inwards a bit.

This is a very small detail, but the rivet holding your knee ammo pack is a bit close to the edge compared to the on-screen armor. If you're up for it, we're suggesting you move it in. This would require filling the old hole with ABS paste.

Finally, your rear right thigh cover strip is a bit short - it should ideally reach the edge of the ridge. Not a bit deal at all, but worth mentioning.

Finally, your sniper knee is aligned well, but there's a bit of excess return edge on it. We're suggesting you trim that off to better match the screen-used armor.

Centurion Requirements

In this section we prepare you for Centurion. More photos may be requested in the future that allow us to make better decisions on possible adjustments. If there are any areas of concern they will be discussed here.

Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items to pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all that we can from what is seen, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper.

Starting from the top, your tube stripe decals are far too low. While no specific measurement is stated in the CRL text, we do use reference images when reviewing applications, and in every reference image, the tube stripes are much closer to the cheeks. When you get new decals, hopefully this should be a relatively simple matter to remove the old and apply the new ones in the proper position. Ideally the tube stripes will sit about a pencil-width away from the cheeks.

Moving along, the L3 CRL states:

  • There should be a minimal gap between the shoulder armor and the chest/back plates.

Yours are nearly perfect, there is just a bit of gap at the top of the bells, especially when viewed from the front. Hopefully this should be just a simple fix of shortening the elastic holding the bells on.

Finally, the L3 CRL states:

  • The top of the ammo belt should sit at or just below the bottom of the central and vertical abdomen button panels.

The language is confusing (we're in the process of clarifying it), but your belt is sitting a bit low. It should touch or even slightly overlap the ab buttons.

And that's it! All in all, just a few pretty minor fixes to get to L3, so we hope to see you at Centurion soon. In the meantime, get out there and troop and make the Empire proud! Congratulations and welcome to EIB!

Congrats, Peter! I'm not sure why your forum sidebar says you have 2 EIB awards - this is your first, correct? I'll have someone look into it. - Edit: apparently it's a known issue with just the sidebar display. Clicking through to your profile I see the correct information.

Congratulations on making EIB!

Let’s do those fixies and move on to Lv.3 application.
