Nice work, there are a couple of things that do stand out.

On your helmet you have some extra material showing from the back plate, this should be trimmed and is covered by the ear

ALJ4Qxn.jpg

Also it looks like your rear thigh cover strip is on an angle and not straight.

i7Fxtvf.jpg

You could also rotate your TD around a little so the top detail can be seen.

Star Wars - A New Hope: Screen Capture-254.jpg

You have quite large corners cut off on your belt, although only a requirement for L3 I would still try to rectify this just for the appearance: "The corners of the plastic ammo belt shall be trimmed at a 45 degree angle that that meets the outer edge of the cloth belt"

Trimming some material from the end of the belt will reduce the cut corner size and also match the fabric belt width.

Good luck with your application.

Almost there Corey:duim:

In regards to the extra material you could try to move the top/round part of the ear slightly forward to hide it and that would also give the ear an angle seen on most screen used helmets and it would match better with the other ear. Not required though, just a suggestion while you are working on it.

And as you are working on the belt, for Centurion the dropboxes should be alinged with the end of the plastic belt and the cover buttons are meant to be flat, yours seem to have some edge to them.

we all want you to look your best - good luck:salute:

Thank you

I trimmed my extra material and shaved my ears a bit to help with the gap. (I ordered my kit with helmet prebuilt. My first kit.) Qnd the boxes on my ammo belt are not fixed but instead on a loop around my belt so I can easily slide them into right position and remove them easily. When I put them on they do not move but I guess I didnt align them quite right this time. Also my lady took the photos and doesn't quite have the eye to look for such details haha.

Again good luck and I can't see anything more to add that what the others have pointed out. Though you may need to add some more photos.

Good luck with approval!  Do you have rivets on your left ab to kidney connection?  Also, there is a lot of ridge surface showing under you bicep coverstrips- any chance you can size those down?

The rivets on the left side is for centurion and I am only applying for EIB.

Do you mean shave some the return edge on my shoulder bell?

I appreciate everyone's help.

Rivets - yeah, as long as you’re aware of the requirement going forward.

For the bicep - I’m referring to the coverstrip appearing really thin compared to the ridge below.

For now I dont have plans past EIB but that may change.

For the cover strips they are exactly the same size. May just be angle of them in the photos.

When you say, “who are you supposed to be listening to,”- really that is up to you. Everyone on here is offering you advice to improve your armor. Take what you want from them. As for who “approves” your EIB status- that would be CableGuy, JustJoseph, and UKSWRATH. But basically, the majority of the people who have chimes in here on your thread are all Centurion level, have multiple costumes, and have been around for quite some time.

Thank you Just concerned I will be told to fix something that is not needed but I do appreciate everyone's help I was just curious on how this worked.

Thank you for clarifying for me.

You’re welcome and understood. It is rare that any of the guys above will steer you wrong. And if any of them do, it will never be something that would make your armor “worse” or “incorrect”. Worst case scenario is that you’re given advice to make your costume one step closer to Centurion. The jump from EIB to Centurion isn’t that much more, FYI.

Lastly, when in doubt, always refer back to the trusty CRL:

Thank you and thank you everyone for the advice. I am almost done with my helmet from all the advice that was given. I just need to buy new screws so I can put my ears back on. I feel like it will look a lot better.
Going to fix my TD tonight and lower my biceps a bit tonight.

Hi Corey,

Thank you for your EIB application.

To allow us to move forward, could we kindly request a couple of addition photos from the check list?;

•Close up of hovi tips

•close up of ab buttons

•Holster to belt attachment

•Inside of thigh ammo pack fixings

•side-on photos of your sniper knee (for alignment)

Thank you in advance.

Dan

Thank you for the list of photos you need. Please let me know what photos you need next.

I believe that is all the photos you asked for plus the extra plastic trimmed on ear. d1c52d5626c933a153ec1632e6588f8f.jpge87a33853a4e009d362461c2ea049089.jpgd87d6a7bf42fc75acedb7958fd92cfd6.jpg61ddd8cc01faa6300e551d59f49000fa.jpg120235df8bc7d0bb7a2308d14a86a406.jpga46abfd9c2630604ae7a2bde5bb73e43.jpgeddc8807d8d8e137acca3c5d1c2cc4c2.jpg43572207e6efdbe01c37774c28e0a143.jpg273c90ae490795d4887e65be9253d2a2.jpgc93381600a9ea7783b5a716107cf5276.jpgdf07a171e19d6c796258618f5d309bbc.jpgc98df663aeb75e7118d04eeeea9ab60e.jpg

Just with your ab buttons it wouldn't hurt to try to round them off a little more, some are a little raggedy around the edges and some are rather larger, using a toothpick can help remove any paint.

As a reference

Thanks, Corey. Much appreciated.

For side on photos of the sniper knee, I meant a little like this;

Thank you in advance.

Sorry about that. I hope this is a little better.90699166504435815cda46812b183919.jpgc63514a947a8b908d2717cb45c8138e6.jpg

 • CableGuy changed the title to TK-81489 Requesting ANH EIB Status (WTF) (UNDER REVIEW)
CableGuy is there any images I am missing at the time that you would like me to submit?

Thank you

Hi Corey,

I believe we are up to date with pictures. Just in the process of running through your application. Shouldn’t be too long, Trooper. :-)
