CableGuy[Admin]
Hi Darren, Looking sharp. :-)Could we please have a couple of extra photos;Close up of thermal detonator screwsColour of lenses (green)Inside fixings of thigh ammo packAlso, we will have to ask that your UKG decal is removed for clearance pictures. As a fellow UKG member, I totally understand the significance of it, however, these must be removed for EIB and Centurion applications (sorry). justjoseph63[Staff]
Really nice overall build, Darren, and GREAT job on the tear, trap and frown paint! Unfortunately the CRL for level 2 requires that the gap between the kidney and ab plates be no more than 12.5 mm wide. To proceed with your application, you will need to add some shims on the left and right of the kidney. For EI, there can be a seam at the shim/kidney, but for Centurion (which I hope you will be aiming for) the seam must not be apparent. This is accomplished with the use of ABS paste, and we can help you out with that project when the time comes. justjoseph63[Staff]
GREAT to hear, Darren!! On a side note, (and this will not affect approval), you may want to bend the kegs of your split rivets out. There are two reasons.. it will help keep them securely in place, as well as keep them from potentially snagging your undersuit. My buddy Jeff (wingnut65) has a nice tutorial for this. You could probably just use a hammer to gently flatten them out once you get them opened up.

lucnak[TK]
You should also request 501st Stormtrooper status here: If you tried posting in the request subforum, you may have been unable to do so since your profile is not set as 501st TK. Harbinger[IPM]
Darren, your ab rivets look like they could use some paint touch-ups. TD screws look good though!
justjoseph63[Staff]
Looking MUCH better, sir! The only thing (besides the rivet paint) that is holding you back at this point is the decals on your left shoulder bell. I know that the UKG allows them, (and I honestly wish I could get away with wearing one) but for levels 2 and 3 they are not permitted. Cheers for reply, I will touch up paint on the riverts and change over shoulder bell for the next kit up (just waiting for elastic glue to dry). What level is my kit at currently EIB or Centurion and what would be needed for progress to the next level. Many Thanks Darren

CableGuy[Admin]
Hi Darren, thank you for your patience for your EI application! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required submission photos have been posted, and I am very pleased to announce your armour displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. On behalf of the D.O. Staff, congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armour. Firstly, many thanks for making the requested changes. Great work on the side gap shims - that really pulls it all together (quite literally ). Now, let's start from the top with some suggestions that could help to take your armour above and beyond. The tube stripes look like they might be over the usually pencil width from the cheek, especially the right one (pictured below). As per the reference photo, these could be closer to the cheek, and following the line of the cheek. You could also extend the frown paint beyond the un-drilled 5th hole for that extra ANH stunt look. Moving down a little, your right arm looks to be higher than your left arm, so we would suggest evening these out (B). Personally, I would lower your right bicep & forearm to match the left one and reduce the wrist to hand plate gap. Ref Moving to the back, we would suggest lowering the back plate down by an inch or so. This will help to reduce the back to kidney gap. We would also suggest trimming back the bicep Coverstrips a little so that they do not protrude past the edges of the armour. Reference - back/kidney Ref - coverstrips As with the back, trimming down the ends of those coverstrips would be suggested for a better overall look. We can also see that there appears to be a lot of the flashing left along the bottom edge of your chest plate. Whilst the actual return edge is great on that section, the flashing could be removed. Ref for chest The smaller of your ab buttons could be trimmed a little further, making it smaller than the raised section that it sits on. For the most accurate look, the corners would be straight cut, rather than curved. Ref Your butt plate appears to be flying solo a little on the right hand side. A simple strapping adjustment is likely to resolve this. Ref Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. If you are aiming for Centurion, (which we really hope you are), your drop boxes would need to be lined up with the outer edge of your ammo belt. Moving and gluing the elastics at the back can be a good way to keep them located in the correct place. As Centurion is all about the finer details, we would like to see those shoulder bell to chest gaps reduced as much as possible (A). Shortening the shoulder bell elastics should help with this. If you needed a little more wiggle room, there is a bit more return edge on the lower end (inner edge) of the bells that could be reduced a little, if required. Excellent job, Darren. I know that you are a taller trooper, which certainly adds an extra challenge to a build, however, as with your TD, you've made a really tidy job of your kit. Many congrats!! Now, back to you post, trooper!!
