Netx up redoing my tube strips..

Right side i am not sure to paint 16 strips or 15 ...

6a0763667bfd79b1f62412156aa6006a.jpg

Left side 15 strips...

Both sides strips will clear the ears so no problem there..

Tube strips are medium Blue, numbering between 9 and 16 per side with the curve bends extending backwards. as per the CRL

do I have to have even amount of tubes either side? or can i go for 15 left and 16 right?

Next up test fitting..

Still working on my Kidney Plate left side made the return edge up the top a bit with the heat gun scary...

made sure my rivets will line up nice and tight, currently tie wraps, the belt is also not positioned to its final location

I wanted to make sure the belt would fit me right will measure ten times and check check check before I do the AB poppers.

wanted to make sure my drop boxes where aligned properly etc

427e36fa632a6bffb5ec83fbeec6a76a.jpg

ran around the house a bit to make sure no elastic on the left side ad yet, I want to shape it a bit more so that gap is closed and it fits me without out me trying to force it.

After shaping I am going to reinforce the all around as there are certain areas that want to flex.....

Just watch the positioning of your belt, at the moment you are covering the bottom button, should be just under ;)

thanks gmrhodes13 I am going to test tape it on and upload the pics just to make sure.

I had to repair my butt plate and kidney plate so that is all reinforced now and dry so time for another test fitting. Like my Dad said measure twice cut once... so annoying he is right so in my case now... measure multiple times, tape etc and then cut.

Measure multiple times.  Doubt yourself.  Look on Whitearmor a ton of times.  Post on Whitearmor and ask.  Go measure again.  Check Whitearmor to make sure you read it right.  Sweat, have anxiety attack and then cut.

I wore my Armour for a bit today walking about on my balcony to get a feel and to make adjustments...

Ad to chest plate left side (Facing me) needs adjusting..,,

next adjustments required thighs... when people say Armour bite I have no idea lol after walking about I now know.. lol

a09ef54ab4a282d48b3cd5dfae7824ab.jpg

More shaping of the thighs are required. at the moment they are to round. Big thighs from years of service ;-) (edit)

hot bath I think A good 2.5 cm give there, currently they are touching as you can see from this pic my idea was to hot bath them and flatten them a bit (edit)

Fronts they stop just above my knee. adjustment so it all lines up. (edit)

Left shin adjustment to line up, under suit required.. shins molded to my weird calf's..

no hooks attached yet.

with the bra hooks and foam the shins do not move...

left left side picture..

to do the cut out piece on the kidney both sides...

Strap on the side top of the kidney to pull the ad part in more..

Right side

kidney cutout required..

white elastic missing from shoulder straps..

ef5976b98cb10abffc7eba39c4f7748d.jpg

forearm adjustment only have one here cause I clued the poppers on my other arm the wrong way round, do not drink and build.. will have to wait 24 hours torture..

I am not happy with the forearms I think i need to trim more of the wrist and then redo the forearms and allow more elastic from the bicep to the forearm for more moment...

checking movement and and dressing issues that might occur..

lots of walking the thighs are killing me, they are rubbing against each other right side hurts more than the left

happy with the shins not moving once I clip the straps on (Bra hooks)

did some climbing on a step was manageable ..

Things to buy or do...

E11

I have a doodpy doo but that takes time I feel like its a journey to make and tradition..

Neck Seal

the next seal I have is good but it feels like i need to have Velcro on the bottom to make it feel flat for me anyways I cant really see if its flat etc

I am thinking I like one with a bigger bib or part of the under suit itself

Undersuit

I need a decent under suit, I have uniglo and my sports under suit at the moment looking like a mine artist.

Fans / Cooling System

OMG you defo need to have fans unless you live in a cold climate (A camel pack would be good or a drinking system of some kind)

Gloves

I have glued my hand guards to my gloves however I am not 100% satisfied, is there anywhere that sells them already glued?

Need to get cotton undergloves due to the sweat..

will await feedback before making any adjustments tomorrow.

slow progress on the DLT-19..

Question about movement..

With the arms I have about 80% movement.

I have roughly one finger gap from Armour to my arms with the biceps and forearms on both sides.

is this correct?

Hiya,

Yes, if you’re looking to reduce the thighs then trimming at the back will work well. I’d remove the coverstrips and try test fitting again with tape to get your ideal fit. Just remember to try and take even amounts from both sides and to keep the coverstrips centred.

Keep up the good work. :-)

Really nice work so far, Dan!! :duim:    I was looking through your photos, and although it's (honestly) not a big deal it appears that your shoulder bells are backward.  Some armorers (like RWA) have the "swoop" on the bottom of the side ridges (some don't) and ideally the swoop should face the front.  Again, not a biggie, and it won't affect approval at any level but just thought I'd mention it.  Keep those photos coming!!

Roger that.  Looks like you could take just a hair off of the fronts as seen below to get rid of that tiny ridge.  I would suggest using sandpaper instead of a Dremel tool, though, that way you can better control how much is removed.

OUTSTANDING job on the bicep/forearm cover strip alignment!!
