DATE: 19/08/2018 TIME: approximately 1 hour LANDSCAPE/WEATHER: Indoors in airport /outside warm and sunny for carpark change. TROOPERS: Flocky : Peter : TI 98311 Volksjager: Jason : TI 86557 jezzapm : Jerry : TI 59226 gmrhodes13 : Glen : TK 85421 Darth Trooper : Andrew : TD 84000 Bradnewland : Brad : TD 71976 Whereswa11y : Wayne : TB 20074 WRANGLERS: Marie and Liz REPORT: Arriving in sequence with imperial precision at short term landing zone at Perth spaceport on time the troopers suited up quickly in the warm sun. The shuttle craft carrying our trooper landed ahead of schedule. Troopers marched into the arrival hall of the imperial spaceport with helmets removed so as to expose them to security clearance. All checked out. Imperial citizens awaiting arrival of friends and family were happy to see us and many photos were taken with smiling faces on arriving citizens and one very happy shuttle captain. Waiting on TK-12326 clearance through imperial security our group got a lot of attention. A local security officer stepped up and asked us to stand back without helmets as they hadn't seen the security footage of us entering and cleared. The imperial citizens were not happy and let the officer know by booing them. Glad to see this sector is full of imperial supporters. We stood back and relaxed until we spotted our reinforcement. Helmets back on briefly and TK-12326 and family were very happy to see us. Hugs and handshakes all round. A long wait paid off with a enthusiastic reaction from our trooper. We exited the Imperial spaceport and back to our shuttles. Mission complete. On a personal note I'd like thank the great behaviour of all troopers, obeying the police directives. This shows that the 501st Desert Scorpion Garrison is a well maintained garrison with great discipline among its troops. Besides they had real guns and authority powers which they didn't have to use. Great job everyone. INJURIES: The feelings of an officer were hurt by the crowds reaction. ARMOR REPAIRS: No damage HAPPY PEOPLE: Public loved it and Ben and family loved the welcoming reception.
