Receiving Transmission From Auckland

Recommended Posts

Hello All, I am from Auckland, New Zealand. I recently bumped into a old friend and we got onto the topic of costumes and cosplay, hes been doing it for 3 years now and loves it.

He then said i should give it a go and because i love the star wars universe i decided on a star wars cosplay. I asked around on some pages on Facebook and they pointed me in this direction.

In the past ive done some charity work so once i get all the pre-rec stuff sorted out i would love to give back to the community in the future.

I've done abit of research into the different types of stormtroopers (theirs more than i originally thought), i still have alot to learn before i can make my own and know where to get parts, but it will all be worth it in the end.

I'm generally a quite person, but once i get to know people i come out of my shell XD

if any of you are in the Auckland or even New Zealand and know how i can get started I would appreciate any advice anyone has to give.

hope to see you out in the field :)

Welcome aboard, Benjamin. You’ve come to the right place! :-)

Here’s some handy links to get you going:

1. Where do I begin? https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/38-getting-started-read-this-first/

2. Where do I buy armor? https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/

Also, check out the EIB and Centurion programs for that extra level of TK accuracy. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35371-eib-and-centurion-what-do-these-terms-mean/

The key things to remember are, do plenty of research into your chosen costume and ask lots of questions. We’re here to help.

Best wishes
Dan

Welcome to FISD Ben, hope you have checked in to your local 501st group Outpost 42 Garrison as always good to have some home support as well.

We do have a couple of Kiwis here so they should connect with you at some stage.

Enjoy the journey.

i met one of your fellow New Zealander compatriots at a Surfers Healing event in Virginia Beach over the weekend .  He was like  an angel helping my son surf the waves.
