Grats on your BBB! You'll see, thoseĀ kits are awesome! Good luck on your build and keep up the good work! :)

Ā

Don't worry, (almost) any misktake can be corrected. At least decals are easier to remove and modify than paint! ;P

Congrats on your BBB!

Ā

Of all the possible things that can go wrong, this is the least of your worries.Ā ;)

Ā

Take your time, read the other build threads, ask questions, and enjoy the journey.

Paint em in with some French blue enamel ;)

You guys are lucky though....TK Centurion level allows for decals that simulate hand painting.Ā  Sandy's have to paint their tube stripes in.....someway....somehow....lol

I do have the stencils for painting them. Which is probably the route I'm going to go. I'm doing all of the electronics in the helmet now. Then I'll run and grab paint.

Looking good so far. :-)

If you are going to apply new tube stripe decals or paint stencils/templates, feel free to stick up some pictures of them before you do. It looks like the ones youā€™ve applied could be on the opposite cheeks. The furthest front Stripe usually gives this away. :-)

Yeah. I'm going to paint them all. It'll look more authentic. I have the stencils here. I'll post a picture.Ā

Thank you Mark for getting this to me so quickly! You don't know how much I really appreciate it. All of the anxiety over cutting, the smell of E6000, the crap all over my hands, plastic shavings everywhere and most of all, fulfilling a dream I've had since I was just a kid.Ā

Ā

Post lots of questions and pictures. Will you be going for EIB or Centurion?

I'm going for Centurion.

So I did a bunch of rough cuts making sure everything lines up well. Here is what I have done so far

he real question I have now concerns the forearms and biceps. The forearms fit but they're hard to get over my hands. Now they are just rough cut so I can remove some material to make them a bit wider at the front if that's acceptable. There are no return edges on ANH forearms that I'm aware of. My second question is the exact shape that the biceps should be. Everything seems to be going pretty quickly.

I did use the standard 5/8th's for the arms and 7/8ths for the legs.

Yep, no return edge at the wrist of the forearm (screen used example shown below).Ā  You can remove the return edge at the elbow too, but it is not a requirement for approval.Ā  The build is coming along very nicely! :duim:

Great. That'll free up some room there. Not bad for a couple of hours this morning. Now I'm about to get back on it.Ā
