forearm and bicep matching cover strip?

Recommended Posts

Sorry if this has been asked before but I've been doing a lot of research but it's become difficult with the photo bucket problem as of late and a lot of "answers" refer to old pictures that have broken links...

I've built my forearms and they fit pretty well, I used the 5/8" or 15mm cover strip as I've seen posted in other builds and followed the TrooperBay videos. The problem that I'm running into now is that my arms are a bit large to use the same size cover strips, I currently have them trimmed to 7/8" (22mm) and they fit, a little snug but I can make it work. Is it OK to have different size cover strips on my forearms and biceps? I've read that the front should match but the backs could be bigger, I've already cut my biceps to 7/8" so that wouldn't help me much. Does the cover strip need to run the entire distance of the raised portion of the bicep? So in other words could I leave the sizing I've made for the bicep cut and use a smaller cover strip that doesn't reach to the edges?

If it helps I'm 6'2" and roughly 225-230lbs. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks in advance. I'd like to go for Centurion and I thought I was on the right path but I'm feeling a little discouraged at the moment.

Did you remove all the return edge from the tops and bottoms of your bicep, Andy?  This allows a lot more room, and is completely screen accurate.
